I'm going to have a Clothing Optional party next summer, maybe on the Summer Solitice next year, or at least the Saturday closest to it or even maybe later in the year when it's possibly warmer... I'm just wondering if there are others here from Missouri, or anyone close enough that would be interested in coming.
I have 14 acres and will be having this party regardless of if there are others on the forums here that would attend.. I'm going to be inviting some people from my Jeep club and other friends that are nudists or nudists-wannabees... I almost had a party this summer but it didn't get planned, so I'm going to set a date and go from there.

If I were not half the country away I would be interested but when you plan such a clothing optional party and invite non-nudists you may get more fun than you plan to. When I was a dewy browed lad I joined an organization (organ being the operative term here) in San Francisco called the Sexual Freedom League...cause they advocated free beaches mainly, but found out really fast what most of the members were in for and that was to be in...the parties were real eye openers. Unfortunately, the idea of SEXUAL FREEDOM didn't include the point of view that you don't HAVE to have SEX with EVERYONE IN THE ROOM to be free. Twas educational tho...

Tried to find where you are located in the atlas. Are you north, west,or south of St. Louis? I am about 2 hours north of STL. across the river from Hannibal Mo. /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I'm from the Dittmer, MO area... you can map that and find it probably. That is in western Jefferson County in Missouri. Jefferson County is just south of St. Louis County. I'm about 30 miles from I-270, the outter belt of St. Louis.
I'm unsure of some details about the party, but it's motivated by some friends that are Jeepers. I have about a mile of trails where 4x4s Jeeps, ATVs, hiking, etc would be possible.. I don't hav a pool, but mobile outtubs, etc could be rented I guess.
o I'm wary of the numbers, that is why I'm gauging interest. I don't want to be overwhelm, but then again, that wouldn't be such a bad thing.. but I simpy wouldn't be ready for a party of 400 people.
o I'm unsure if CO or nudist only is best.. I'm inclined to nudist only, but hate to exclude some buddies in the Jeep club whose wives would otherwise come. I'm thinking of a modified version.. couples only, although one of the couple has to be nude, the other can be CO. Some new nudists don't understand the 'required nudity' at all--as if it's forcing them.. but of cource it keeps the gawkers to a minimum. It's not a nudist event if only the host is nude..
o I do think it's be fun to include anyone that is local to me that are real nudists, or anyone that wants to travel a short distance.
o I have children and my nudity includes them of course. Obviously there are those, especially the newbies, that can't/don't seperate sex from nudity at first.. but..... people often have parties with out the kids too. So I'm leaning to an kidless event for this since I want to have fun and mingle, not have to seperate two boys form fighting... lol , but that isn't set in stone by any means.
...so I'm just trying to gauge interest and am looking for input on what works best, etc. I have no problem greeting everyone at the gate nude to 'break the ice', but the biggest decision I think is the CO/nudity requirement rule. I kinda like the 'couples only, one has to be nude' thing.

Chief, this is a great idea! Regarding whether nude or clothing-optional, it might be best to bill it as nude but, if people come in couples, it's OK for one to be non-nude.
What you want to avoid is groups of male yahoos coming to gawk and generally be obnoxious.
I've always been intrigued about these humungous gathering of bikers (e.g. 50,000) and other groups who own a particular piece of equipment (e.g. Airstream trailers).
Wouldn't it be great to have a gathering of 50,000 nudists at your place?

Right now, the tentative date is June 19th. That is NOT set in stone yet though. I'm basically researching that date to ensure there isn't anything big I haven't thought about that it would class with.
I'm going to do a bit of checking on temps for my area to see if a couple weeks either way makes sense.

I was just wondering if you do anything for the older group, (like 55+).
I will try to see the show while you are at Como, that is less than an hour from me.
