Thoughts on Public Nudity and the TopFree Movement (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52_kOC-TZrM)
I thought this lady made a pretty intelligent arguement.
As a side note, have the moderators thought about installing software that would allow us to embed videos?

I thought it was pretty good and very refreshing. I've been interested in the concept of liberty, rights and freedom for some time and I liked the way she moved from the general to the specific.
My understanding of the concept of rights, particularly as stated in the US Declaration of Independence (the first section of which is a pretty good mission statement for the US) is that there are certain rights which are inalienable (meaning you can't even give up the right even if you don't want it) and that governments are supposed to support this concept. For the most part the rights that the Founding Fathers were talking about back then were political & economic rights (especially those rights being violated by Great Britain), however as time has gone on the pool of recognized rights has expanded somewhat, but in a way its also shrunk.
Her bringing up "the right to offend" others is interesting. I'm sure that an open discussion of that in society vis-a-vis the clothing issue would generate some heated debate. I think that's an example of a "right" that has expanded and shrunk over the course of history.
