Ya'all is not a word. In this nation we speak English, our laws are published in English, our courts are conducted in English, our government is in English, all 50 states use English, and English is what we use to communicate with.

Y'all is a part of casual conversational English in many parts of the United States. Check the dictionary if you wish.

I don't know anyone who speaks the way legal documents are phrased, not even lawyers.

My posts sometimes include words or spellings that are not textbook English. I admit that some might not know Southern-style English, but they can consider it an opportunity to learn about people who are from a different subculture.

Sigh... three different spellings, but Trail is correct. Y'all is a standard English contraction, just as valid as aren't, they're, and who's.
