Thanksgiving

The name says it all ...to give thanks to all we have: friends, family, spouses and to pause at a lovely time of the year to just be thankful in our hurried and scurried lives. Plus it is at a time of the year when fall is in full swing and winter is pushing at the door.

Christmas.Down here Christmas is during summer.
3 or 4 weeks of uninterrupted nude beaches and nudist clubs.Yeeehaarr...can't wait.

OK, OK, The Fourth of July!

Because, I actually a dew-eyed patriot at heart. Plus, there's all that corn on the cob, tomatos, potato salad, corn on the cob, brats, dogs, iced-tea, melons, cakes, pies, corn on the cob, and screamming kids, barking dogs and fire-crackers and corn on the cob, and yeah, if no one else wants it, I guess I'll go ahead and take that last ear..unless no one else wants it.

I like Christmas...the commercial Christmas. I like the festive nature of people and the lights, decorations, etc. It's such a happy time of year. I like how everybody says hello, you hear from old friends, a few days off from work, etc. I like the music. Christmas time makes me smile.
