Check out our new photo section! Just click the "Photos" link in the upper right corner of the dark blue navigation block. Upload some photos! Have a new category idea? Suggest it here!

Hi Sandman - Nice job on the upgrade.

I'm assuming that any photo albums I might have posted (or anyone else) in the previous Forums have now disappeared with the changeover, right?

Not a big deal; I was just wondering.

J.

Thanks!

You are correct. All old attachments and uploads were not imported to the new system. I would have loved to import everything, but it was not possible. It wont be long before we have a bunch of new photos in our new gallery. :)

Good job on the upgrade. Looks good.

What are your suggested rules when it comes to picture posting? Are you going for more pictures of members (clothed or dressed), or any pics (such as vintage) that truly represent nudism? May or may not be posting myself; just curious.

We may add more categories later.

For now, we have two and these are the requirements...

Member Photos: Must be photos of you. If anyone else is included in the photo, make sure you have permission from them to post it. You can be clothes or naked. Make sure you have a smile on your face. :) So many people post photos where they look sad or angry.

Locations: Must be photos of nude resorts, beaches or other fun places to get naked. Make sure you have permission from the photographer and anyone in the photo.

I don’t believe forum or community photo categories are suppose to take the place of Clothesfree International Inc. [CFI] Photo’s of Freedom [photo albums or categories], or Photo’s of the Day on www.clothesfree.com

Here is a few nudist and nude recreation vBulletin Forum Photo Categories from “NakedGary” you might add:

[Edited to indicate images taken by forum members for forum members]

Action & Sports nude recreation images taken by members

Artistic Expressions

Events, Nudist Event images taken by forum members

Noboby said this was replacing the Photo of Freedom gallery on ClothesFree.com. This is a separate gallery for members of CFF.

Each member is limited to posting photos of themselves or photos that they took. Members are also limited to posting 100 photos each. Anything else can be submitted to CFI for inclusion on the Photos of Freedom.

NakedGary - Thanks for your category suggestions. Many of them can be included in our already present "Locations" area. At a later date, we may decide to create subcategories for beaches, resorts, etc.

As far as magazine covers, vintage photos etc... those should be submitted to CFI for the Photos of Freedom gallery.

Again, this gallery is only meant for members of CFF to post photos of themselves or photos they took themselves.

Thanks Sandman for clarifying the new vBulliten photo categories are only images taken by forum and community members, and of other nudists or naturist by permission and photo release.

The previous "Eve" forums seemed at times to compete with CFI's Photo albums, events, and vintage nudist images pulled off the net and current nudes in the news off of wire services.

This new format will be much better for the members by the members. I will edit those general and vintage categories from the list.

Sandman, can you assure members that the pics they post in the new PHOTOS section will *not* be used elsewhere on Clothes Free International? Previously, any photos one member would post could be then used on Photos of Freedom (or whatever it's called) in which a fee is charged for viewing.

I'm a freelance writer/photographer and normally am paid for my stories and photos. This is why in the past I have rarely put my *own* photos on CFF. I own copyright to my photos -- but if I posted them on the old CFF, under the Terms of Service, CFF was able to "hijack" those photos and use them without payment.

This may seem like a minor point to some, but when it is your livelihood, one has to protect oneself.

It's part of our livelihood too, so I understand your question and concern. As of right now, none of our terms of service have changed. This means that anything posted on this site may be used by CFI. However, we will not use the photo if you specifically ask us not to. In the new photos section, you can add a description with your photo upload. Simply put your copyright information in that description and we will not use the photo. I also suggest putting a watermark copyright on your photos. Sound fair enough?

I'm impressed with your prompt replies, Sandman. And yes, this sounds fair. I will investigate how to put watermarks on my pics.
cheers,
J.

I'm trying to stay on top of things here since the site was just upgraded. That's why you got the fast response. However, I'm going to be breaking away from my computer pretty soon. I worked all week and now my weekend is almost over. I need to get away from my desk and enjoy this rain here in California. Actually, it's hailing outside right now. Maybe I should just stay in. Damn... is summer over already?

I don't know how long CFI/CFF plans to leave the closed old "Eve" forum program online. If you need to refer to or link to a previous photo album or slide show, just bracket the "URL" with vB code: [ url ] ... [ /url ] {extra space intentionally used}

http://clothesfreeforums.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/9040078443/m/3540049044

Hyperlink in your post on this vBulliten post and you will start viewing the photo albums not brought over, as I did in Artistic Expressions.

F.Y.I. and use "NakedGary"

Is the photo upload restriction of 100KB too restrictive? I would think that would eliminate many photos that are often 2 or more times that size. Just a thought/observation.

Sandman

Resize photos to make sure they are less than 600 pixels wide so that they fit on everyone screen without a side scroll bar and less than 100k so that they load fast. We may consider increasing this limit later, but I think most people should be able to stay within that limit for now. The higher the limit is the longer it will take to download so its always best to reduce the image as much as you can without changing the quality too much. Also, images only need to be 72dpi when posted tot he Internet. If you resize it to 600 pixels and 72dpi it should be under 100k.

100k Image file size is plenty for webpage image viewing, and 72 or 96 is more than adequate for viewing images on a monitor screen sharp and in full color.

Most photo viewing programs will resize on the fly so you can email images or post them on a web page.

If you send a larger image to yourself via windows email [Win-XP] will give you the option to leave file size alone or make the image file size smaller for viewing, emailing, and posting to web pages.

An excellent and fast photo viewer that is free to download and is shareware: "IrFanView" It's very popular and a fast viewer, slideshow, and resizer for image file size, as well as image psysical size on screen in pixels, inches, etc. as SandMan mentioned. Do a right click and properties on any image on screen in vBulliten to see the url and pixel size in Width and Height.

The Link is: http://www.irfanview.com/ (http://www.irfanview.com/) for information and download.

Here is a captured image of some of the "IrFanView" features: [File size 55.5 K w 580 X h 392 in pixels]
