A bit late, mate..

Like closing the gate after the horse has bolted.

Rather than making pointless demands, asking for boycotts, or shouting at the world; you should simply be taking the opportunity to make your points about the lack of human rights and freedoms that still exist in much of China, and China's tardiness in addressing this lack..

You could also point out, that improving their position on human rights was one of the conditions of China holding the Olympics next year.

Yeah, it is funny, because capital punishment is a major human rights issue. When Atlanta hosted the 1996 Olympics, it became an issue.

So the good state of Georgia agreed not to electrocute anyone while the Olympics were going on.
