Before driving down to Sunny Sands I emailed them about there visitation policies and particularly about showing up alone. While I don't consider myself single since my partner and I have been together 11 years, I would be traveling alone. Their response:

WE accept families and couples. When visiting as a single you must have an AANR membership. The card must have a club name on it, and has to be established for at least one year. If you meet those requirements, you are welcome to visit any time. Thank you for your interest in Sunny Sands Resort.

Just a little FYI since I didn't see any of this info posted on their site.

Did you meet requirements and visit Sunny Sands Resort ?

no, unfortunately I did not. I haven't been an AANR member for a year yet and don't have a club affiliation.

Kind of silly don't you think?

They want you to have club experience but won't help you get any.

Odie,

I also called Sunny Sands about their singles policy, and was told the exact same thing. I,ve had an aanr card for many years but it has no club name on it, and was told that there would be a problem. I,ve looked up other clubs in the area on-line about their singles policies and read that they will accept registration receipts showing that you indeed have visited other clubs (as per their policy). On my next visit down to Florida, which will be in about a week, I'm going to call Sunny Sands and find out if that is acceptable with them. I'll let you know how it goes.

Sunny Sands will not accept receipts from other clubs and will only allow singles with a club name on your aanr card. However, if your willing to travel a little further, Gulf coast naturists, and The Island Group in Land o' Lakes will gladly welcome singles in their clubs

There is a travel club in Jacksonville called Northeast Florida Naturist, their membership rates are very reasonable. They do require that your wife attent some events. If you do join then you will have a club name on your card.

I have been to the Island Club several times and they are very singles friendly. Matter of fact, the last Sunday of the month is a singles pot luck, and that happens to be this Sunday coming.
