I have tried to upload several photos to the new forum. When I do, I get an error message stating the photo is too large or the wrong format. I have checked the details of the photos I wish to post and see they are less than 50 KB in size (200 X 400 pixels). The photos were taken with a Nikon D 80, edited in Nikon Capture EX software, and stored as .jpg. What might I be doing wrong to upload to the forum? :o

I have tested the upload feature and everything seems to be working properly on our end. Are you sure you are uploading the correct, reduced file? It sounds like a problem on your end.

I just tried again and got this error message:
Sorry, NudistGuy47: Bad File - File is too Large or of the Wrong MIME Type
The file is 32 KB, 185 X 400 and in .jpg format. I am willing to bet it is me, but was not a problem on the old forum where I posted numerous pictures.

I can help you troubleshoot further. Email me at the address in my signature and attach the file you are trying to upload. If you include your username and password in the email, I can login as you to test it from your account. Remember, you can edit your password to something new if you use the password on other sites and don't want to give it out. You can change it back once I am done testing.

I too tried to upload some photo's last week and got the same error message. I will try again later, but it was pictures that I previously had on the old site, so their size should not have been a problem.

NudistGuy47 emailed me his username, password and attached file of the photo he was trying to upload. I was able to login as him and upload the file without a problem, so there must be a problem on his end.
Everything is fine on our end and many users are able to upload without a problem, so please make sure you do not have any extra special characters in your file name and make sure the file is a valid .jpg within the file limit restrictions.

I tried to upload this photo to the Locations Photo Gallery and got the error message: Sorry, NudistGuy47: Bad File - File is too Large or of the Wrong MIME Type
It can be attached to this message, so it is not too big. I am unsure what I am doing wroing with the new forum software.

Was the actual image post from Sandman or NudistGuy47?
I see no problem with what was uploaded either.

I have a simple question related to attached photos. I posted a picture in the "Show Yourself" thread and I noticed that the image shows up by itself without the thumbnail box that I normally see on other messages.
Is there any particular reason why the box around the image would either be present or not? Not a big deal, but I have also seen messages with multiple images attached, that are in the box, and wondered how this is done too. The FAQ doesn't include much detail on this.
