How & why is would a new member be banned?

I read on the forum home page, Welcome to the forum's newest member. Then I clicked on that member, and below Nikeshoesun's name was the word "banned". how is the forum welcoming a member, then listing them as banned? Just curious as to how things work now.

Hi Bama...

It is not much different than before. The person that you inquired about was here to SPAM and try to sell black market product. So an instant ban was incurred.

Glad to know, and I knew there were, you good guys, behind the scene, taking care of these such issues, before we're presented with them-the spam and juck stuff.
