Nudists are often equated with "earthy, vegetarian, granola-crunchy" types.
What about you.

I'm an omnivore and my wife is a vegetarian. A lot of the time we will do a vegetarian meal, but other times I'll either do my own version - two pots of soup, or stew for example - or just broil a bit of dead animal to have on the side.

My folks are veggies, more through the cost of meat than belief.
My oldest sister is the true veggie.
I had too see the doc after getting dizzy and the first question was are you a vegatarian and he did some blood tests and found out I was anaemic. He told me to eat meat to get some iron into my blood.

A true meat eater here. I love most types of meats, but I do eat veggies as well, just not as much. I do however, watch my weight, so I don't overstuff myself. But with the holidays coming upon us, I think I might eat a little more than usual. Just have to go back on my diet, again.:smoking:

I don't think nudists are any more healthier than non nudist. Just go to local nude beach or resort to figure it out. As you'll see a lot are overweight or obese. In fact, I even think many are more unhealthy than non nudist.
I on the other hand am not a health nut. I am not vegetarian or vegan. I eat meat but restrict red meat and pork. I live a healthy lifestyle. In addition to exercising 5 days/wk, making healthy eating choices, I also do not eat anything with high fructose corn syrup.
I do wish nudists would adopt more healthy lifestyle choices.

I was a vegetarian for a few years, and felt pretty good healthwise...
But have been interested in nudity much longer...
so for me the two are not related...
I do have some nice veggie cook books we drag out now and again...
and we don't eat much meat, partly due to expense of it, partly due to it not being really necessary in every meal...
trying to keep our boyish and girlish figures LOL...
Take Care,

I retired from the working world and bought a farm with a sizable herd of beef on the hoof on it and I work helping a friend at his butcher shop cutting steaks ... what do you think!?:sneaky:
No really, we are omnivores here, we eat it all, meat, seafood, vegetables, fruits and nuts and are far, far healthier than any herbivores or carnivores I know.;)

With me it depends on money, when I am working I have some kind of meat nearly everyday. I enjoy a good steak, Pork loin, chicken breast about everyday. But if things are tight, or I am unemployeed such as now it maybe once a week if i am lucky. It has nothing to do with what I wear or how I live, more to do with what I enjoy.

From what I've seen at our clothing optional beach, food choices run the full gamut.
Oh sure there are the crunchie folks, the leftover hippies from the 60s and 70s who are now
graying gracefully. One couple with whom I socialize there is a vegan. Yet there are others who are seen happily munching down bologna sandwiches, oreo cookies, and all sorts of junk food.
There are also those who think beer is one of the four food groups, as well as others who will only drink water from some mountain steam in northern Canada.
So I wouldn't pin down naturists with regard to conforming to any particular lifestyle with regard to food preferences.
The only thing we have in common is our love of beilng without clothing.

I went vegetarian for a while in the 90's, but it didn't work out because my doctor diagnosed me as having Type O positive blood so I'm back to being a carnivore.

Like we need any more stereotypes.
Not a vegetarian, but I try to be healthy. Especially as I can see my body whereas with most people it's hidden under clothes at all times unless bathing/changing clothes. Eat vegetables, fruit, meat, try to keep it balanced.

I replied that I love meat, generally speaking I like meat with supper on a regular basis. Most of the time I have a bowl of shreaded wheat for breakfast, apples, raisins and nuts for lunch (with a few days a month at Papa Ginos tossed in) and then a full supper with meat.
Hmmmmm, Maybe I should have backed it off a notch on m vote....

I used to be a rabid carnivore but I found as I grow older that the benefits of moderation and variety far outweigh the old habits. The palate and body adjust well to a balanced diet.
And I love absorbing that vitamin D from the sun accompanied with fresh air nude.

I voted balanced - I like some meat along with veggies.
Exercise is so important. I've seen all too many people dieting and skipping meals only to end up with unwanted weight gain. Just getting into the habit of setting a little time aside for something, like walking around the school track a few times boosts metabolism. Not only that but it's good for the heart and skin, lots more! Even during winter there are indoor sports or the local nudist club if there are fun activities such as dancing or jacuzzi outdoors.. No excuses! Make it a Great 2008!

I'm an omnivore...
I will eat red meat in small amounts 3 or 4 times a week, fish 2 or 3 times, poultry once or twice [anymore, and men can risk o'd'ing on the female hormones -> look out 'man boobs' (I know industry pundits will always deny this - but I'm also aware of what 'cowboys' some greedy farmers can be, when they only think of money..)..]. Meat and eggs probably only make up 20 - 25% of my calorie intake in any week.
Having vege's and fruit as the main portions of your diet, followed by wholegrains, meat and eggs, and dairy/dairy substitutes (usually soy-based..), makes for a more balanced diet, when compared to either extreme : 'carnivore' or 'vegan' or 'junk-food-addict'..

Definitely a meat eater here. The only veggies I eat are lettuce and tomato on a burger or fried onions or mushrooms on a steak. I leave the rest for the rabbits.
Hmmmm....I think I may have discovered the cause of my 'horizontally enhanced' physique.

HEALTH is very very important to myself & my family!
We live on a farm and raise/butcher all of our own healthful pasture raised meat, raise our own dairy (dairygoats ~ making homemade cheeses, yogurt, kefir, ice cream, healthful dips, custard, drinking LOTS of healthful RAW GOAT'S MILK and so much more....). Organic gardening is our favorite pastime, it's very $$practical$$ as well, and HIGHLY ENJOYABLE to do in THE NUDE! ha,ha Let's just say that I hate shopping, so by doing this, it works out nicely for me... not to mention all of the free-excercise! he,he I guess "KNOWING WHERE OUR FOOD COMES FROM" and "HOW IT'S RAISED" is the most important thing to me & my family. Now a days "ORGANIC" just doesn't mean organic anymore (imagine, they can call non-organic products ORGANIC!?!?!?) and they charge a pretty penny for any product labeled that as it has become quite trendy these days.
My most favorite cookbook is called: NOURISHING TRADITIONS
By Author Sally Fallon ~ it's ABSOLUTELY AWESOME/HIGHLY INFORMATIVE!!!

My MOST Favorite Health Site is : www.westonaprice.org
and here http://realmilk.com/ you can find a local raw dairy source if you haven't found one as of yet.
Favorite book on the subject of health: NUTRITION & PHYSICAL DEGENERATION By Author Weston A. Price

Here's a Book Review on it, @ the link below:

Well I guess that's all for now (I'm sure that you can see this is a subject I am most passionate about & the we greatly enjoy reading/books! lol)... We LOVE our homegrown MEATS as much as we love our VEGGIES, FRUITS, & NUTS! Another favorite thing to do is harvest WILD EDIBLES, that way you have a bit less to grow & who could say no to the healthful goods available in MOTHER NATURE'S FREE ORGANIC SUPERMARKET! Let's just say that a well balanced diet is important, paired up with physical activity! :)
Sadly I don't think many people understand that EATING HEALTHY is kinda like HEALTH INSURANCE for THE FUTURE! You EAT CR*P, you are CR*P! <---- As our lil' daughter loves to say.... and it's so very TRUE too!
P.S.- This last winter season we ate lots of fresh homegrown healthful greens all winter long (with virtually no effort at all) just by following an incredible book called: Four Season Harvest By Author Elliot Coleman If you like to read & have an interest in easy gardening I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK as well! Winter Gardening is virtually effortless, as you don't have to battle it out with extreme heat/extreme watering, weeding, bugs .... You'd be amazed by the selection of things one can grow & eat with no extra heat/electricity ~ just building a simplistic greenhouse on the south side of your house with a sheet of plastic... which naturally builds up it's own warmth via the sunshine!!! Talk about EASY & YUMMY!!!! If Elliot Coleman (Author of Four Season Harvest) can do it up in Maine ( <--of all places), anyone can do it ANYWHERE!!!!

Round these parts nude resorts are basically well appointed camp grounds, that means lots of grills and open fires where animal flesh is partially burned for the pleasure of carnivores.
Sure there are a few vegans with their baggies of granola and kelp rolls. We let them roast marshmallows over our fires .... arr arrr aaarrgghhhh!

Omnivore here. However, we are eating alot more raw veggies. I own 14 markets on line (sort of like a mall-without the walls) and one of those markets is health and nutrition and in learning my business, and having health issues of my own, (cholesterol, reu. arthritis, heart health issues, most anything a man in his 50's would experience) I've learned ALOT about antioxidents, vitamin suppliments, Coq-10, natural HGH, pycnogenol (GOOGLE this stuff), resveratrol (all the good stuff in red wine), calcium, prostate care (a big one for me), omega-3, all delivered in isotonic form (a very rapid delivery system in liquid form, in equal pressure with your body fluids) All this, and more, just to offset the poison in our processed foods, like hormones, antibiotics (in all our processed meats) etc.. I'm a member of those glorious "baby boomers" and we all know we are going to die eventualy but we are going to postpone the inevitable as long as possible and to look good and feel good while doing it. And we're doing it. Remember eat raw as much as possible (if you cut a fruit or veggie and see color in the juice, the color is the good stuff) and eat meat with common sense. (it also wouldn't hurt to take a digestive enzyme before your major meal each day for proper and a more comlpete digestion) bon appetit!
