Has anyone here been to, or know anything about Penn-Mar? It is north of Hancock MD just across the PA line.

It has been almost 15 yrs since I last visited there. As I remember, it was pretty basic but I am sure much hads changed in all these years.

My wife and I visited Pen Mar this past summer. We went because people we had met in Florida the winter before are members there. The people there were very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. The grounds are rather primitive. We took our motor home and had water and electric hook ups. They have a cabin which is a combination bedroom and kitchen and another cabin which is just a bedroom that you can rent. The club house has a kitchen which anyone can use. The pool and the club house were nice. The bath room and showers were unisex. The camp is built on two hills. To get from one hill to the other requires a car, golf cart, or a long hike. They have activities on the weekends, but the weekend we picked was a quiet weekend. Every evening they have a bon fire. They also have a volleyball court, a patanque court, and a golf ball toss court. If you are looking for a good time without a lot of amenities, you will like Pen Mar.

Cybernude hasn't been updated in years. Believe me, they are not hosting them. Penn_Mar's website is at
http://www.pen-mar.com/ [correct & working hyperlink, Mod "NG"]
[Edited by mod "NG"] Thanks BoatSteve, the problem was "nudeinWV" had brackets on the hyperlink. I corrected it and it works now.
I haven't been there in a long time but liked it when I was there.

The weekend that we went to Pen Mar was scheduled as a quiet weekend, meaning that they had nothing scheduled. There were no children there that weekend. I would think that other than the pool and the play ground, there wouldn't be much else for a 4 and 6 year old to do. We were told that they do have people who bring children there, but I have no idea when they would be there and what their ages would be. Wish I had more information for you, but we were only there the one time.
