Went to a sorta girlfriend’s after a long workout on the weight machines and bike.

After I showered I remained undressed and even did some cooking and watched television afterwards. She was thrown for a look at my being at ease with nothing on in a non-sexual situation.

It came down to me telling her that I was a nudist and she blew it off as a joke. I don’t know how she will take my nudist friends and social scene. Time will tell.

Any others not take you seriously about being a nudist until they saw you living that lifestyle?

Hello blackrebel. I just wanted to say that I myself have never been a situation in which I was nude in a non-sexual setting with a woman who was not a nudist. But I feel that your situation could be somewhat of an upward battle in getting her to be comfortable with your lifestyle. It has been my experience that people in general outside of the nudist circle or environment tend to either shy away from it or,as in your case, blow it off as a joke. I certainly do want to wish you the very best of luck in this.

Maybe once she gets used to the fact you are comfortable in your own skin, and also comfortable around your other friends who practice nudity she will become comfortable with it as well. Some times we have to lead by example. She may even come to the point where she may want to join in at some point but, even if that dosen't happen if she is ok with you being nude around her in a nonsexual setting that could be enough for now. Good luck with her and your relationship.

At least she didn't jump up and down demanding you put something on. This tells me she may be accepting of 'your' nudity, but the option of her joining you may require a little more patience. Over time, she may want to join you inside the house, but getting her to accept being nude around others may not be so easy.

Give it time. Who knows, her making jokes may prove to be more out of curiosity instead of total rejection. Be glad, like I stated, she didn't yell at you to put something on.:smoking:

I would simply pull my Naturist Society card out of my wallet. That ought to be enough proof.

I would simply pull my Naturist Society card out of my wallet. That ought to be enough proof.

I've tried the membership card thing a few times, doesn't always convince them. I have had reactions from one extreme to the other. Most negative reaction was from my own brother, he accused me of trying to seduce his wife. And another time he accused me of being a pedofile. His whole problem came about when my sister in law showed him the pic I had on my yahoo profile, at the time it was a nude pic. It, the profile was always listed in the adult section of yahoo profiles. She thought it was funny.

I do have relatives who except it without any thought about it. The usual comment is " that is who he is" when asked! My son and his wife have lived with me at times, allowing me to be who I am. They do not join in but take my nudity as a fact of life. Fact is they are making plans to come for a while again soon. His mother in law is also planning to be here and told me pacifically to be who I am and she may join me. Fact is I think we maybe becoming a couple soon.

I also have a cousin who has joined me once at a resort, she is into the topfreedom idea. She also stayed at my place on weekends in the past and excepted my nudity.

Well, my point has been made so there is no need to go on.
