What happened to old photos?

I was surprised after an absence of a few months to see that the site had been redesigned and that the photo access was really reduced. I am talking about the photos that members often posted, many times in multiples or slide shows. There were great photos of the naked bike ride, a couple of the members from Britain often sent in large multiple sets of interesting photos, etc., and I looked forward to seeing how people managed to be nude in differing settings around the world.

With this design, at least as best as I can see, there are many fewer photos and they no longer are grouped into slide shows, as previously done. I miss the ease of accessing the photos and the quality of the slide shows. As a frequent traveler to nudist places I had contemplated doing a slide show featuring different places around the world. Now there is no place on this website to do so.

Perhaps someone could enlighten me.

I'll let them tell the whole story, but they say we've been upgraded and the site has improved with the changes???:rolleyes::rolleyes:But I'll be here long as they'll let me stay and go with the flow, getting used to it somewhat.

Can you point out which album you are mentioning? There are still over 10,000 photos there. We are putting new ones in a couple days also.

I believe he is referring to the pics/slidshows that were within posts by members here on the forums. All of which were not transferred to the new boards

* Like the OP I have been away for some months and when I came back I am not sure I like the "improvements". Ok there are a few more bell's and whistles but
- my avatar was gone
- the list of recent posts (halfway right on front page) is much shorter, active topics easily disappear quickly from the list and you have to go into the sub-forum pages to find them back, or I have to pull up the list of my own posts to find something back
- the photo-column (lower right on front page) has become a hangout for semi-exhibitionist pictures. Ok everyone will probably flame me now, but other then nude men "look-at-me-and-what-I-have-got", clothed people (amazingly) and women in 50's style erotic poses it appears only remotely connected with the clothesfree lifestyle I thought it was meant to be about.
- where's the chat?
- and is it just me or have all but just a very few (3?) women disappeared.

I tried to make some positive contributions, but they got snowed under subjects like penis-painting (give me a break) and nudity-angst from textile stu. I'll keep trying though ;-)

The new photo albums seem mostly for people who think the rest of us are fascinated by their boring self pictures indoors or out. C'mon, folks, show us something new, like an unusual location or you doing something unusual in the nude.

I miss the albums of seeing pics of naturists from days gone by - old B & W pics of places that may or may not still be naturist oriented. The USA and Canada have quite a nudist history, but here there is no way to show those pics unless it is in an individual thread.

And remember, it is the members who post and not the visitors who lurk that have made this forum what it is. Right now it looks like we are just fading away. Somebody at CFI needs to figure out why and start doing something pretty quick to get the regulars back.

I have removed all of my Photos since I think that since this site was revamped,improved, or whatever that it has totally gone downhill. Dont know what caused the decline but I no longer what my naked body displayed.

The upgrade to the new software and server is an awesome success! It is super fast now and the software is very user friendly. Please let me know of any other improvements we need.

I find the photo section is nowhere near as good as on the previous server.
It is now confusing and I think impossible to find the latest photos posted.

The random system is not good as it keeps coming up with photos that I have already seen

Click on the "Photos" link at the top of any page within the forums. It will take you to this page: http://www.clothesfreeforum.com/photoplog/index.php and the most recent photos are listed at the bottom. You can go through the photos in the order they were posted.

To view a gallery of photos a user has posted, click on the "Gallery" link next to the members name when you are viewing a photo they uploaded. For example, here is Naked Gary's Gallery http://www.clothesfreeforum.com/photoplog/index.php?u=1585

I just checked and it is showing 239 forum members have visited today and 48 have posted a message.

I believe that was the day that the switch occurred and a lot of people who aren't on here every day, did show up to get a look at the new format. They then went back to their normal behavior of not being on the site every day, so there was a massive spike on just that one day.

I believe "Sandman" put out a feeler for suggestions of new PhotoPlog Gallery categories when vBulletin was implemented.

Has anyone contributed to or posted suggestions?

I think a separate topic/thread for that purpose is in order; I will start one.

There is many innovative ways to post picture and photo albums and slide shows to posts if one has their own domain or has a host site that allows photo albums etc. and links to them.

The problem is once posted in a post; It get buried in the thousands of posts, and unless there is a section or links to posted photo albums or images like the previous "Eve" program did with a column or section on the lower left panel of the CFF main page which listed:

"Photo Galleries or Albums [Personal and Community]"

Here is one I did in less than 10 minutes with a free down-loadable program called "Web Picture Creator". Unless you know or saved the link, its difficult to reference to get back to or know about.

Its in the "Miscellaneous" Forum and Titled:

Very cool magazine covers Gary.

Say, I was looking for those very nice old black-and-white 1930's-60's nudist pictures that were in the old gallery. Those were really nice. I kept going back to view those. Where did those go to?
