I'm thinking of shaving and am trying to decide what to use. I found out that there actually exist shavers specifically for this purpose, e.g., the Seiko Cleancut and the Body Bare. I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who has used them who could give a personal account of how it worked for them to help determine which one's better. The one thing that stands out for me is that the Cleancut takes a C battery while the Body Bare is rechargeable, which would save money, but has anyone used either one of them who could help me out? It would be much appreciated.

We have a Seiko CleanCut and use it occasionally. We use a razor and shaving gel most of the time.
We like the CleanCut. No nicks, no skin irritation but just takes too long to get the same results from the razor.

Tried using my regular electric razor - Philishave which I believe is called Norelco in US but found I prefered regular Gillette vibrating razor and shaving cream - quicker and cleaner. May change my mind the first time I nick my penis shaft or balls.
I dont know if we can get a Seico Clean Cut in Canada.

Philips has something new, espacially for men shaving their bodyhair all over, its the Body Groom. I haven't tried yet, but every one having one is very happy about it.

A fantastic commercial - they should sell lots of them. Have looked around on the internet to see where I can purchase one in Canada and I dont see anyone that sells it yet. We will be going down to Palm Springs next month to do some naked sun-bathing and will have to put on some clothes while there and go shopping for one.
By the way would like to hear from someone that has actuallly used one.
I also read the reviews and most of them were positive but a number of them complained about the shaver pinching especially around scrotum.

Hi there. I tend to stick to just a shaver and either soap or shaving gel. Works for me, i dont see as there is any need to purchase specialist razors.
Hope that helps. Stay Smooth.

I have used the Phillips Body Groomer for about 5 months now and am quite pleased with it. It is time-consuming but because my hair is blonde and quite fine it really doesn't matter if I get it all. I figure what I miss today I will get tomorrow.
I do not have the itch problem that I used to have using a blade although I think a blade does a faster more thorough job.

I just got the Phillips Body Groom shaver for Christmas. Have used it once and so far love it! I only shave my balls, and there is no pain or nicks. I used to use a womans razor dry, and seems that was faster, but no danger of blood with the Body Groom! LOL I do love the internet add also!

Using an epilator and Gillette Fusion 5 blade razor is getting my hair to the point where at times it feels like there isn't any hair at all. Even the stubble is beginning to go away to the point where it isn't as obvious as it once was. I can tell that the epilator is reducing the incidence of stubble as each week goes by.

I have had mine for almost 2 years. I love it, no more razor burn and really is the "everywhere" shaver for men. To each their own.

I just received a Norelco Body Shaver for Christmas and so far I love it. A few years ago when I first tried shaving those toys were not on the market, now I guess it's okay for the guys to shave all over also.

i use the mach4 razor blade and gel shave cream. i figure the more blades the smoother. it works fine. i definately stay away from hair removal creams. they burn too much and make the skin red.

I have the Body Groomer and it does a pretty good job. The open edged shavers on each side of the groomer can be a bit troubling in sensitive areas. The Gillette Mach 3 with their gel works just as well as long as you are careful.

I alternate between the Norleco Body Groomer and Gillette Fussion 5 blade razor. both give me great results. Smooth for over 6 months now. Great feeling.

I just ordered the Philips Norelco Bodygroomer. I'll let you know how it works for me. My biggest problem other than the nicks has been shaving the areas I can't see.

You use an epilator? Impressive! I had forgotten about these ancient monsters! They actually still make them? I've always wanted to try one because of that same reason you mentioned (hair gets finer & less dense over time), but am afraid of the pain factor. After tweezing eyebrows one hair at a time for years, that was painful enough. Yanking a bunch of hair at the same time, for entire legs/body? Yikes! What percentage of your body do you use the epilator for?
I just wanted to say again, that i'm impressed, and you may have inspired me to give it a try! :-) Wow, this is like a nostalgia rush! :-P

I use any good 3 or 4 bladed woment's saftey razor, lots of soap and shave in the shower. Works great! Took a month or so to get past the razor bumps but after that no problems for years.

I have been using the Gilette Slim razor for several years. It seems to work fine. I shave every morning in the shower with just soap. No itching at all.

i too have purchased the phillips body groomer. it works fine and you get a pretty close shave. afterwards i use a gel for after shaving to keep from getting bumps. both work good so far. i used to use a regular mach razor and shave cream.
