North Carolina? South Carolina?

Does anyone know of a Nudist friendly area to camp in the Carolinas? Perhaps an established Nude beach with Nudist camping near by? Or the coup de grace = a Nude beach that allows overnight camping right there on the beach (that would be awesome).

We're members of CFI, but not of any other organization, thus we are hoping there are a few places that will fit our needs. We left aanr a few years ago.

Hi Jedi, I am from North Carolina and can suggest the following:

Bar-S Ranch Report. August 2000. Near Reidsville. $24 gets one into this sprawling ranch for a day. A very nice pool, hot tub, sauna and lake are all available for use. They have what they call a nine-hole golf course which, while devoid of real greens, does have flagsticks and one could practice ones short game if so inclined. Plenty of walking trails, but if desired, golf carts are available for rent. They have one of the nicest clubhouses I have seen, with telephone, leather sofa and chairs, and the usual billiards, Ping-Pong and so on. Snack machines and soda machines are available. Definitely worth checking out.

Chatooga Gorge. Directions: Obtain a map at the ranger station seven miles North of Walhalla, SC on Rt 107; our directions are keyed to this map. Have a ball, as above, or follow Rt 28 west for access to other sections of incomparable Chatooga Gorge. Rating: FIVE FULL MOONS. many miles of nude hiking, camping, white water rafting, mini water slides, countless pools, sunning opportunities, and waterfalls

Coventry Club and Resort of North Carolina is a family nudist resort located in Tabor City North Carolina (less than 30 minutes from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina), dedicated to natural recreation, relaxation and fun. A great place to bask nude in the sun. They offer a comfortable atmosphere and wonderful facilities to make your visit an enjoyable experience. Facilities include: huge L-shaped pool with separate swimming and water volleyball areas; large, 15 foot diameter, hot tub; club house with community kitchen, TV & library; 30 acres with full RV hook-ups and unlimited tenting; A limited number of rentals are available (call for price and availability).

Hot Springs Spa Report. 2005. This is one of only two hot springs east of the Mississippi. WORLD GUIDE CLASS, THE HOT SPRINGS SPA, MINERAL BATHS, AND CAMPGROUND, One Bridge St., POB 428, Hot Springs, NC, 28743, 704-622-7676. Fax: 704-622-7615, was a pleasurable new find located on the NC/Tenn. line, close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park where N opportunities abound. We don't ordinarily list non Naturist facilities, but this one is more than worthy of mention because Naturists not needing full-time nudity will be right at home at REASONABLE prices. The campground, completely rebuilt just a couple of years ago, is across the road, a short walk from the springs, "Heated In The Depths Of The Earth, Where The Goddess Of Health Waved Her Magic Wand."...

Jasmine Trail Nudist Resort and Campground. The new management has upgraded and added to the facilities. Amenities include swimming pool, clubhouse with pool table and entertainment center, tanning bed and exercise equipment. There are gatherings every week and pot luck lunches the first Saturday of each month. Camping, RV sites with sewer and water and power and rental cabins are available. There is a stocked fishing pond, several outdoor activity areas and more items are being added as the management sees a demand for them. Visit the site for additional information.

Jonah Hole Report. 2005. (From Bar-S Ranch) Every once in a while, we find a special treat which really makes us smile, sorry to leave the place, hoping we can go back soon, and HAPPY to be compuNuding! Places like Jonah Hole make us want to call out in exultation of the JOYS! of being a Naturist! And we did! Bill does a whoop which we call, "The Cry of The Wild Pollock"; Tarzan(ski) would be proud! It's hard to describe, except to say it tends to be earsplitting, possibly approaching 95db(a) at distances of less than 10 paces. He does it exclusively when we're nude, usually when he's feeling happy about a given place and it's rolled over many a rock and rill, from North Vermont to South Florida to Southern California, as at Jonah Hole.

Linville Gorge Report. 2004. At 14 miles long, 1,000 feet deep much of the way, and a 2,000 foot drop, WORLD GUIDE CLASS Linville Gorge is second in size in this country only to The Grand Canyon; with all our hearts, we hope the message is clear; even in `conservative' states like North Carolina, there are HUNDREDS of nuding spots if people would only care to find them. We spent most of a week clambering up one side of Linville and down the other, beginning with spectacular 90 foot Linville Falls at the top; we visited after a heavy rain and was it ever a sight to see. The falls drops in two stages, marking the beginning of the gorge; millions of years ago, the falls were 14 miles down stream...

North Carolina Naturists. NCN is a non-landed club which means we do not have a specific location. We are a group of individuals who enjoy being clothes-free in the company of others who feel the same way. Meetings and wholesome get-togethers are held at other members' homes as well as at area nudist resorts located in North and South Carolina. Meetings in each other's homes are open only to NCN members and prospective members. Our club has been in existence since April of 1981. Twin Oaks Campground is a clothing optional campground near Bonlee for men over 21 years of age. We are open 7 days per week starting March 1 thru November 1. We have 26.6 acres of scenic forest just minutes from the Haw River, Jordan Lake, NC Zoological Park, and major metropolitan areas. Rural attractions like farm tours, antique shops, historic sites, and outdoor activities are abundant. We have 15 campsites and 6 new RV sites. Effective 8-23-03 the pool and hot tub have been shut down. We are planning on building a pond for swimming, fishing, and canoeing, and getting a new hot tub which will meet code. We have large sunning private areas and shady areas too. Walking trails wind thru mature lush forest. Wildlife can be seen while strolling through the shade. Feeding areas are provided for wildlife. Construction on a showerhouse and septic system should be complete by fall 2004. Improvements are moving along quickly. Whispering Pines Nudist Resort Report. A wonderfully relaxing family-friendly park with pool that's great for water volleyball. Super rental accommodations and lots of camping space for large and small RVs and tents. About 45 minutes or less from Myrtle Beach if golfing or shopping is your thing. The shade pavillion at the pool offers a respite from the Carolina sun. There's a good trail for walking. Friendly members and well-kept grounds. Carolina Foothills Resort http://www.carolinafoothills.com/ near Chesnee, SC (not far from Spartanburg, SC). My favorite because it's only about an hour from home.

Hot Springs Spa http://www.nchotsprings.com/, Hot Springs, NC, has Jacuzzi-style hot tubs that are drained, cleaned, and refilled with warm mineral water after each use. Each tub overlooks the French Broad River or Spring Creek, and has a privacy screen, so you can use the tub nude.

Bar-S-Ranch in Reidsville is the best place I have been to in Norh Carolina. I have been a few times and the people are the nicest people you will ever meet. Truly the people make the resort and this one is the best! you'll be glad you went.

From above... looks like Twin Oaks is not a naturist campground anymore.

Never been to any places nude in NC but with this short list, looks like I have a few prospects.
