My recent trip to Macworld Expo unveiled the perfect accessory to being a nudist.

Check this out: http://www.lapdome.com/

Now we can stay connected to the Clothes Free Forums, even while lounging out at the pool!

Thanks to cell phones with cameras, most resorts now do not allow laptops on the pool deck area unless verified the laptop or the subject does not have a web cam attached.

Do to the same, most nude resorts are now restricting use of cell phones on the decks in the wet areas, bathrooms, and shower areas, and have signs posted at the entrance of the gated areas. To answer a cell phone one must go out of the area.

Boy, we can always count on you to damper the light and fun mood with your seriousness.

Thanks Gary....

"Most?" Did someone do a researched study and question club and resort owners? I'd like to read that report, if you have it available.

Personally, I have only seen a sign once about "no cameras or cellphones" - and that was at the entrance to the public nude beach, Orient Beach, on Saint Martin.

It didn't even occur to me that people might take pix with their cellphones as I do not have that ability on my own. And incidentally, I've taken my laptop to four different resorts over two years in three different countries. Not once was I asked if I had a webcam attached.

I was serious, and I think "Brian Spence" was also being a AANR officer, Naturally California principal, and CFI "Nudes in the News" producer/anchor.

Laptop use and wireless connectivity at clothesfree resorts is quiet common especially at official organizational events, board meetings, conventions, and any media coverage by CFI. Some members, visitors carry on their business, writing, technical, or programming while relaxing at the main pool deck or at their RV or campsite. Before the "LapDome" one would have to find a very shady area, or get in their RV or vehicle to be able to use and see their LCD Screens clearly.

The lapdome is a nifty device and solves washout of LCD Screens in bright sunlight. Unless the user of such a device is known, they would be suspect as a visitor by security, management, staff photographers, or regular members until known that their Pocket Computers, PDA's, Cell Phones didn't have internal still/video capabilities enabled, or being used.

The large year round clothesfree resorts are very much concerned with the privacy and security of their members, guests, and visitors and have taken measures with signage and restrictions of use of all wireless communications and recording devices inside the pool deck areas and wet areas.

Many of the latest laptops and smart phones have embedded video/still capture devices that are difficult to even tell or see within the bezel, back or decorative features.

I'll change most to some of the larger year round clothesfree resorts in the U.S. have installed signage and restrictions on the use of all wireless devices in common, wet, and shower areas. One must go out of the gated area away from others to answer or use cell or smart phones. I think this is a good rule and regulation. Who wants to hear several gabbing on cell phones around them while quietly reading while relaxing on a lounge chair in an area where there are many.

The owner of one of the resorts I go to is president of "The Trade Association of Nude Recreation" TANR. I will ask her if such discussion study or report has been done. Brian Spence did an interview with her at Mira Vista on a very recent "Nudes in the News" edition.

A private/public nude beach such as you mentioned "Orient Beach, on Saint Martin is private or controlled. They can post any kind of sign or regulation they want. In the U.S. I don't believe any federal, state, county, or city agency or body could post such restrictions on cell phones or camera use on a public beach or those set aside or approved for nude use or recreation.

Of the four resorts in three countries you mention taking a laptop to; you probably wouldn't be asked if you had an attached device if it was not obvious or you were not in a crowded common area acting strangely or panning with a device that could record still or motion images. Bringing a laptop in luggage or belongings is very common at any clothing optional resort, facilities, airports or regular hotels now days that usually have or provide or have connectivity or WiFi wireless access points, and many now are going to cell or wireless connectivity anywhere where you can receive cell coverage you can be connected, even while driving or moving.

I was just at Shangri La Resort in Phoenix and they had the same signs that Gary mentioned. It is too easy to invade the privacy of someone who just wants to lay naked in the sun, then post the pics in places where privacy is not respected.

In my profession, most of my colleagues do not know that I enjoy nude activities, and I usually go to places where only other nudists will be. Imagine how it could be to find a pic of me naked and having fun when a colleague opens up a website for nude beaches while he is trolling...

it is not right to take anyone's pic without permission and the signs are a welcome reminder

I have heard of some YMCAs and other fitness places having similar rules about cell phones.

There have been incidents of cell phones being used to take pictures in showers, locker rooms, bathrooms, and in fitness areas where private parts can be incidentally exposed.

I got a lappy, so if I'm ever by a pool with internet acces, I'll have it with me. Of course I'd want to be at a nude pool with my lappy!
