Are you a naturist in your dreams too?

I don't often remember my dreams the next morning, but today was one of those days.
And for the first time I can remember, my dream was about naturism.

I was wandering around the outskirts of a non-descript European city, in a rather unreal scenery: there were meadows, grass everywhere but without cows, no trees at all, and no man-made objects like barbed wire, benches, etc.
There was a lot of water everywhere: ponds, ditches, even a canal.
At first, I found small groups of people sitting naked near the water, sunbathing. Then further on, near the canal, there were more and more 'textiles.'
Even though I was wearing clothes, I turned back and went looking for the naked people. I was certain I was going to strip as well and enjoy the sunshine naked, but I woke up before I got there.

Do you also have naturist dreams, or are you mostly 'textile' in your dreams?

Dreaming about being naked is quite common for us;after all it is something we prefer to do, so our brain picks up on that and adds its own random take.

A lot of dreams are about wandering naked in a textile situation, without any trouble.
This topic has been on this forum a few times before, I hope people will react again.
The variations on this theme are fascinating.

I've often dreamed that I was nude around family members and company. But then I woke up and suddenly realized it was just that, a dream. The funny part is, in my dreams, I'm nude around others that I normally wouldn't be nude around, so when I wake up, I have to try to remember if the dream was real or not. I guess that's why you call them dreams because you dream of things you wish you could normally do in real life.:smoking:

I sometimes dream I am naked in public places where I would never go nude when I am awake. It is usually uncomfortable in my dreams. On the other hand, when I am awake I am not uncomfortable being nude around others.

I have many dreams about being nude in public places. There are lots of people about at times, and I always have something to do, to fix or to solve. Nobody notices I'm nude while I'm doing whatever I'm doing in the dream. And it isn't always warm. It's like a normal dream, except I don't have any clothes on.

don'thave as many nude dreams now than in my younger years. i always dreamed i was either running down the street nude or in a crowd of others nude. no one was chasing me but would always wake up before the outcome appeared. maybe now that i have experienced nudity among others first hand, that's why my dreams have stopped.

I frequently dream about being nude in front of family or friends, while going about my normal business. In the dreams, *I* am aware that I am nude and surprised that no one notices and no mention of it is made.

Is this wishful thinking of how it SHOULD be?

Not until recently. I've often talked about a female friend, at work, that I've been talking to and discussing naturism with, that I have posted about here. About a year or more ago, I have been having dreams of my wife and I at various nudist functions and this friend is there. She is clothed and we continue to have the same discussions about nudism that we have had at work.

She never gets undressed but most everyone else in the dream is nude or topless and wearing a pareo. I'm wondering why I continue to have these dreams where this friend is always there at nudist gatherings. Could it be that she's so open to the discussion? That she has admitted to enjoying clothes free living prior to having extended house guests and can no longer enjoy it.

I've had other dreams where I am nude and others aren't. I've also had dreams where I am nude and at Starbucks............now that one's really wierd!! :)

In my dreams I am allways the one nude . mostly its family and it doesent seem to bother them and have fun with it . The most resent one I am posing in a art class .

I am often nude in my dreams. Often I am in search of a nude hot spring which I tried to reach once but failed. I think I continue to try and get there in my dreams to overcome that failure.

Nude in dreams? Yes, at times, but not frequently.

I am usually at ease and not ashamed in public areas such as at a beach or in an office and such.

The people around me are not upset either.

I rarely remember my dreams. Either I don't remember them at all or they quickly fade away after I wake up. I have recalled a few dreams involving nudity that I was able to write down. In one I attended a nude swim at an outdoor pool and in another I went to a resort for the first time. They dealt with my apprehension about getting nude in front of others and took place before I went to a nudist venue for the first time. Maybe these dreams helped me get over any nervousness because when I tried social nudism for the first tilme, I felt very little nervousness or apprehension.

I've had several dreams where I'm nude around others and usually it's out in public where I shouldn't be nude around so many textiles. Honestly, it's very uncomfortable. On the other hand, I've also had dreams where I'm clothed around other nudists and finally nude around other nudists. Obviously, those last dreams are the best. In fact, some nights when I'm having trouble getting to sleep, I think about being at a local nudist hotspring. It's very calming and it really helps me get a good night's sleep.

I don't recall ever having any "naturist" dreams, but I am nude in many of those dreams that I can remember - and like a few of the others above, I wasn't embarrassed nor was anyone else worried or disturbed by my nakedness - it just seems right and natural at the time...

One other thing I do notice sometimes, is that I often see myself as being trimmer and fitter than I am at the moment - another subconscious desire ??
In some dreams where I'm not actually nude, I also remember being in either a state of undress, or wearing very skimpy clothes, [which in this case, is a bit like a flashback to what things were like a decade or two back..].

I've been nude many times with others at beaches and hot springs. However, although I've never had the opportunity to be in such a situation, I often dream about being nude in places where I'm the only one nude.

Good question. I can't answer it really much at all as the dreams I remember are mostly connected to my spiritual work.

The few dreams that I remember I never seem to be nude. A bit disappointing really.

It's about 50/50 with me. Sometimes I dream I am with family or friends and we are either nude or not. Not much different from real life. Not a big deal to me.

The only dream I can remember where I was consious of being nude or if it was a big deal was one where I was at home swimming (nude, of course) and my wife had some female friends over. Wife INSISTED that I put on clothes, but her friends were allowed to go nude, which they did. In the dream, it would have been rude of me to be nude. In my dream also, I became furious that I was not allowed to go nude, but everyone else was! Eventually, I couldn't take it anymore, and I was yelling and screaming (out of character for me). When I woke up, I told her about the dream and she laughed her head off. She made me a nice handwritten card with a promise that she will never make me put on clothes to swim, and signed it. Never had that bad dream again.

I have had some dreams where I was nude in them. In the last one I dreamed it had become legal to go nude anywhere so as soon as I got out of work I got nude drove home and did my daily walk. In the dream it felt neat to walk down the street, go out to dinner, and go shopping nude while there were some others nude and some not. I remember in the dream about 40% of people were nude.

I frequently am nude in my dreams and not in any particular location. I don't mind being nude anywhere it is fitting...in other words I don't walk down the center of the highway naked but I have been nude on a textile beach and also a textile pool. Not much was said but I don't do that too often anymore.

Not always, but frequently. Sometimes, when I wake up it takes me awhile to determine it it was a dream or reality, but then is there really a difference!
