Greetings Everyone,

I have two sons who will be attending boy Scout camp and hopeful we could have them attend the AANR YOUTH CAMP in New York. The cost of sending our boys to these camps is about $250 each for both events so that amounts to $1000 total plus I would like to help out my oldest son friend to attend Scout camp as well. He is the only child of a single mother so if I could help raise some money to help him go to camp that would be great.

So here is my idea on how to raise the money for these outings for our boys. I am thinking of putting a webpage together that would feature links to stores that have affilate programs. What these programs are is that you visit my website and then go to the store purchase somthing and I get a small commision on the sale. So I am not asking for donations but just would ask that you would visit the retailers on the website and go an buy something. Now here is what I would like to know first this would help in selecting potentional retailers that offer this program what stores would you like to see.

Second I am looking for where I can set up this webpage. I would prefer for it to be free but if not a very small price. This way more of the money raised actually goes to what the site is intended to raise money for.

I am hopeing to get some input soon as the sooner I get this webpage built because Scout camp is at the end of June and the AANR camp is at the end of July. The money for Scout camp is due in May I do not know when the money will be due for the AANR Camp yet but there is no sense in waiting.

OR you can get a temporary part time job for few weeks and raise the $1000.

In case you may not know how those sites work...First you have to create a website, which can cost money, then you have to PAY the agency to link sites to yours to get commission. Lastly, the commission you get is VERY LITTLE. You basically going to have to create a VERY interactive site that will get ALOT of hits.

I think you are better off taking my suggestion of getting a P/T job for a month and raise the money. With your idea, you have to SPEND money to make the money

I may be able to help I sent you a PM, with more info. My wife and I are working with AANR East and the leaders of the camp. It is a great camp, with excellent workshops and and the kids actualy learn a lot while they are having way too much fun.
