Below is a link to the video page for "The Guard", a Canadian series about the Coast Guard. It aired nationally in Canada on Global TV. Episode 2 is now on the site with 6 clips that make up the show.

In clip 2 and 6 there is a story line about naturists. Check it out. We thought it was done in a positive manner and was pro-naturism.

In clip 2 the Coast Guard respond to a fire at a naturist snack bar. When mention is made of a "nudist colony" the officer is quickly corrected by the naturist owner of the snack bar.

By clip 6 the officer has gotten the courage to spend an evening amongst the naturists. There is even a full nude shot from the rear of the officer and the owner of the snack bar. All in all we thought the dialogue was positive for the naturist movement and it is certainly great to see a fair representation of naturism in the mainstream TV shows.:D

I can't get the clips to work, I keep getting a commercial for a travel site. Am I the only one with that problem or is it set up that way?

Same problem here. Must be the website.

I had no problem viewing the clips. I wonder if the clips are available only to Canadian IP addresses? It's just like when I go to some American TV network websites to watch a show, but a screen tells me the shows are for US audiences only.

I won't play for IP's outside of Canada.

Good thing to have such stories.
I guess some of the writers or producers of the series must be naturists themselves.

Sorry that the video clips don't work for US IP addresses. I have tried to attached a few shots from the video to at least give you a sense of things. I guess the other option is to move to Canada folks (ha,ha,ha).

No, you did everything right.

Online videos from broadcasters often limit their streams to their own countries, thus when the server detects that the computer requesting the video is out of country it denies the stream. The IP address of computers on the internet normally provide information on the location of the Internet Service Provider. Thus most of the US network shows now available to Americans online from CBS, ABC and NBC won't work in Canada. The Guard is a case of the reverse.

You could possibly get around that by connecting via a Canadian proxy server, but it is not likely that you'll find a free high bandwidth proxy that would be useful for redirecting streaming video.
