Great article in March 2008 Runners Magazine that Adam Buckley Cohen wrote about his first competitive nude run. Great prospective and insite. He is very modest but competed anyway. I hope that we all support the Bare Hare Sprint off-road sprint triathlon.It is on August 23, 2008. Nudeand natural. See you there.

On a semi related idea, many cities will have a Hash House Harriers "running" social group. Rather nudity friendly, although not a nudist group. But nudity during a run, or at a party, is rather common, and it is a fun group. People that are prudish or offended by nudity, would not feel very at home with HHH. Nudity is a part of many HHH runs, but not in a running the whole thing nude, although i am sure it happens at some runs

I just read the article and thought it was OK. I wish that he could have enjoyed himself more, but atleast he gave it a go.

I read the same article. I also was disappointment with the author's dislike of the experience. Hope the future issue has a letter or two that reference the composition and affirm that running nude can and is a positive fun and liberating experience.

The preeminent opportunity to run nude is the annual Bay to Breakers race, held in San Francisco the third Sunday of May. It draws thousands of participants. Most are clothed, many with fun costumes, but there is always a contingent that runs or walks in the buff. One year that I participated it was reported that there were 300 nude runners.

This is a 12K run that draws elite runners as well as masses of people just out for a good time. It starts in the financial district just off Market Street, goes along major urban streets, and ends at the ocean at Golden Gate Park. There's no other event like it in the country.
