This was on the cover of an ad, that I got in the mail, for a magazine called The Week. It made me think of Stu.

Yes, Skinview I think many people have no life of their own, so the way to make themselves feel alive is by giving grief to others who do. Some people go out of their way to find something to complain about. What you do may not hurt anyone else but be sure that if everything you enjoy was broadcast I am sure there would be some person who could find fault with it.

Hang on. I'm accused on here of being a gymnophobe because I find the sight of nakedness to be repulsive, a real turn-off and not remotely attractive or sexy.
You can't accuse me of gymnophobia on the one hand and then liken me to the characters in the cartoon on the other. Not logical.

STU I don't know if that was a joke or not but if you find nudity repulsive what the hell are you doing on nudists forums
I am in no way offended by anything and in no way can one or another offend me.
Suing is the American way though...
I remember a case where a robber was hard at work and cut him self on the victims knife..long story short he won 2 million
Cant forget the time another robber was stealing a car from someones garage and pile of boxes fall on top of him and trapping him. He couldn't get out and ate dog food for 3 days till the owners found him.
and me?
I am thinking of suing the preschool teacher on the other side of the fence for screaming like a damn lunatic.
But I am not offended...but little tired....

No joke. I love chatting to nudists - they're interesting and (usually) genuine people. But I don't want to be around them when they're nude.

More likely is that you love reminding nudists of the power and control that textiles have over nudists. You are no spokesperson for textiles and attempt to present your views as universal views, which is clearly not the case.

Please try to have a bit of fairness. I have done a few things in my time to help nudists - I have donated money and written letters supporting nudist causes - and I have spoken up for nudists when they have been unfairly criticized or their motives impugned. You never miss a chance to attack me even when I'm not saying anything controversial. Why do you only focus on what you see as the negatives?

You so called support of nudism is instantly cancelled out by the harm that you inflict upon nudists by constantly reminding them of how 'your' textile system of laws is stacked against them. You never have anything good or positive to say about nudism (or any other topic for that matter and this forum is full of non nudism related topics that you could easily contribute to). You are always play the textile advocate's roll in this forum and most real nudists with any real world experience know fully well that no level playing field exists between textiles and nudists. Textiles have all of the power, and use it and abuse it to their advantage against nudists. You never stop reminding nudists of this fact.

How right you are, Sanslines!
Stu is a harrassment to the forum with the same diatribe over and over. Same messages mixed with spin, twists, turns, and manipulations.
Makes one wonder why he fears us so much to go to such laborious lengths to fill up the forum with his recorded messages

Please also remember that Stu e-mailed the police to show his support for nudists. He always looking for ways to help.
P.S. Stu
Until you can admit that this action of yours was hostile and likely to cause harm, I have a hard time believing you. You either delude yourself first or lie to all of us.

Walter,
At one point in time, I had all of the compassion in the world for Stu. However, I have found that Stu is a very clever, shifty, and smooth operator who, in a very subtle way, constantly and consistently puts nudism 'down'. He also appears to be very intolerant of nudity and will make no exceptions for it. It is either his way or the highway, ie his set of rules or else watch out! I believe that Stu is not what he appears to be and is playing us all for fools as he continues to wind us all up with his endless 'debate' games.

It's all lies IMO. I don't see truth or fairness in his words. Speaks for itself.

I think there are plenty of people out there who like to be offended. I think it gives them a bit of an adrenalin rush, without the hassle of going to a theme park or jumping out of a plane. :D
As for the Stu situation: If you don't like what the guy has to say, then why bait him into saying even more?

Nice cartoon. Although I understand the implication that the man, woman and child could be offended I find it hard to understand how the dog could also be offended? Also if they were offended why were they looking through their hands intently rather than occluding the view? I suggest that even though they appear externally to be offended they are really fascinated with the nude. Is it only me or is everybody curious what the free gift inside was?

Yes, I would say that many Americans like to be offended. I mean, they love the violence on TV, the tragedies of murders, thefts, and abuse. They watch it every day and don't seem to care that some other was unfortunately snuffed out, abused or neglected. They see their politicians filling their own pockets with raises, special and pet projects, and don't do a thing about it.
So, yes, Americans do like to be offended.

I agree. I am always amazed at how American "society" is so prudish, while the "proper" Brits are traditionally more accepting!

Amen. The discussions always go around and around in the same fashion.
It is rather tiring.

Yes, but dare to show them a nipple or  a bare breast and look what horror THAT is!

Boreaus, how true, indeed! It is fine to be offended by the murders, thefts, abuse, rape, neglect, whathaveyou, but look out if a woman's nipple shows!!!! Or bare buttocks!!!!
Heavens!! Are our priorities of offensiveness mess up? Think this is a resounding, yes!

Hello Skinview. Well, I guess it would depend on who is doing the offending and who it is primarily aimed at. But I can safely say that a large majority of Americans do not like it although you will always find some that are almost impossible to offend regardless of what you do.

Correction: Americans like to be offended without actually investigating the subject matter that is "offending" them in the first place.
