Nudity and Self Esteem

Hey everybody,

Hows it going? I've got a question for you all. Has becoming a nudist or being more open about nudity effected your self esteem. Do you feel better about yourselves? Do you feel worse? Have you notice a positive change in your physical, mental, spiritual, or sexual health. I have now been skinny dipping a few times and am starting to notice the positive effects.

Since I became a Buddhist I have indeed felt a definite sense of ... hey wait, I'm not a Buddhist. Did you mean to say Buddhist? I'm thinking it's very late and you actually meant to say 'nudist' :)

I myself have felt it build an overwhelming sense of more self-confidence and also a feeling of more openness and acceptance of others, of all shapes, sizes, creeds and colors. Look at teens who have been brought up in a nudist lifestyle vs. those who have not. Which ones - on the whole - have better self-esteem, more self-confidence, are more accepting of others and are less materialistic? Easy answer. ;)

Sure, it's boosted my self esteem and self confidence. It has also made me more self conscience as far as hygiene and physical awareness goes. I have become more open and less stressed when in the nude. I have also become more aware of my physical looks, thus promoting my self confidence. I know bodies come in different shapes and sizes, but I try to look my best, in my own eyes. I try to not to let myself "get out of hand", just in case I do go to the beach.
