Hi,

I was wandering if there are any legal boffins out there to assist me with this issue?
First of all I'm new to the forum and a closet nudist (only naked when family is out, allowed to sleep naked). I have a house with the yard sloping (10 degrees) to the back with a 2,5 meter precast wall around the house with electric fencing all round (really required in SA), my swimming pool is about 3 meters from the back wall. My neigbours at the back has a double story house and is able to view what is going on in my back yard. So when I'm alone at home and sure the neighbours are gone I skinny dip, tan and wander around naked in the back yard. Early mornings I also go for a skinnydip before they wake up. I normally wear a towel when walking towards the house. What will the legal issues be should they see me naked in my own backyard? Anyone out there that will be able to assit with this?
nude regards Newd;)

I am also from South Africa (Pretoria-area), my neigbours got no problem seeing me naked at my pool area.On the legal side if any person wants to call the cops whe have a major problem. I have a farm outside Warmbaths area where i have all the freedom of the world.

Thanks for the advise newfred, you are very fortunate in having "good neigbours", i know my neighbours are very nosy! They have their home in the market, so I might have a new challange on my hands soon! The neigbours to the sides of my property are very noisy so I know when they opproach their pool (also situated close to my fence) i found a place in the garden to suntan where nobody will spot me...So you reckon it is best keep clear. You are fortunate to have farm in the Warmbath area. Are your whole family nudist or only you? Have you been to haakbos? A couple of years ago (7 years ago when I realised I was a nudist) I tried to get my wife to join me at Suneden, but she turned it down. I set up a "date" with a member of suneden to join them for a weekend and when I told my wife about it she freaked and told me if I go I can take all my stuff and stay there.....so I cancelled the trip. Maybe I can pursuade her to go once the children are out of the house (I have a 12year old daughter and a 17 year old son). The kids are at peace with their bodies, I think it's only my wife that has a problem due to the wobbly bits she put on after having the kids.regards Newd

Newd,
You should just talk to your neighbors and tell them that you prefer to swim and sun bathe in the nude. That you thought it would be best to tell them, in case at some time in the future they spot you. Then they won't be surprised if you are nude. I do not know anything about law in South Africa but many times if you tell people what you are about they will be fine with it.

That would be my suggestion, go ask. That's the only way to see if they object or not. If they don't, then you are free and clear.Good luck and let us know how things turn out.:smoking:

Its so nice people have to get the NEIGHBOR'S permission to go nude in their OWN yard! Its disgusting! Why not just tell these people to stop being peeping toms and keep their eyes outta your yard if they dont wanna see you naked?

Unfortunately in this world we are such second class citizens that we often DO have to get our neighbor's permission.

Except in Spain :)

Not when we are on our own property. Just because we are a minority doesnt mean we cant be heard, we just have to speak loudly enough so that people cant help but hear us out and take us seriously. Then they would treat us fairly. Most nudists seem content with their status and dont do anything to change it and thats why we remain where we are. We remain at the bottom and oppressed and treated like we're not as good as everyone else.

Hi everyone, Thanks for your views, really appreciated! However if I do discuss it with the neighbours they will probably never get anything done at their homes (house work) they will be hanging from the windows in case I do go for a skinnydip, that's way most people are like around here. or wait until I do tan naked and call the cops as Newfred mentioned!shocked

Even on our own property. Go naked in your front yard and see how long you remain free.

I'm certainly not saying it is fair.
