My wife and I are going to Caliente Caribe later this month. This will be our first time at a clothing optional resort and we were hoping you all could share any experiences you have had there and what we should plan to take along. :)

Thanks and we love this site!

Any updates on their transformation? I've read some recent reviews that seem to indicate that there is some swinger activity "infiltrating" the resort while others say they saw no such activity.

Has anyone been there recently? I'm thinking about a trip to Orlando (Disney and Sea World) to entice my wife (non-nudist) into staying at a C/O resort. But, if a Caribbean nudist resort is a possibility, then that would blow away Orlando. :)

I've looked at Jamaica and we're not comfortable with the crime stats. We've been to St. Maarten (on our honeymoon) and she didn't like the island (we went to Orient Beach but stayed on the Dutch side). Other than those places, the choices seem to be limited in the Caribbean.

Anyway, thanks for any info on Caliente Caribe you can give.

Stay nude!

There has been a lot of press about swinger activity at Caliente Florida. I'm not sure about Caliente Caribe.

CFF already has 8 page threads on the changes and tranformation of Caliente Tampa to a non-sanctioned adult clothing optional "Life Style" luxury resort catering to swingers, and sexually charged theme parties, for the public.

Caliente Tampa is now a private membership club.

Type "Caliente" or "Caliente Caribe" in CFF's Search window for all posts or threads on Caliente Resorts.

All nudist, nude, and clothing optional resorts may have swingers in attendence but most prohibit sexual activities or conduct in common or public areas.

Thanks MaxNude, but I was asking about Caliente Caribe, and not Caliente Tampa. I didn't see Caribe mentioned on that thread (unless I missed it).

Thanks.

Being that Caliente Caribe is an adult couple only all inclusive $250/per day resort that turns their heads to occasional public sexual activities and swinging in common areas, CFF/CFI doesn't list or allow posting of the URL or web address of these resort types on this family forum.

Their website is tame compared to what actually has been said to occur and go on during events, contests, games in public as well as areas set aside for private activities.

Most go to party, drink and socialize nude as much as they wan't or to relax by themselves for a care free vacation or get away.

I have seen pictures taken from Caliente Caribe without permission that couldn't be posted to CFI or CFF Forums.

Groups and image sites such as Flickr & Yahoo have user groups and blogs on events and activities from the adult only off shore C/O or nude resorts.

If you type in "Caribe" to the search window and select "Posts" there is few pages of mention on off shore resorts.

I doubt that Maxnude has visited Caribe, so his comment that "Their website is tame compared to what actually has been said to occur and go on during events, contests, games in public as well as areas set aside for private activities" is just hearsay.

However, I've actually visited Caribe twice in the last 3 years, and I can tell you it's a spectacularly beautiful resort with great staff and lovely guests. I didn't see any inappropriate public behaviour. To cater for the swinger groups who want to go there, Caribe arrange a "resort takeover week" every couple of months - the dates are clearly shown on their website in the Group Trips section. If you go during a takeover week, you'll almost certainly encounter swingers. If you don't want to encounter swingers, avoid those weeks. Simple.

I wouldn't worry too much about crime in Jamaica; we have friends who go to the nude side of Grand Lido Braco every year, and they don't have problems with crime.

Other Caribbean nude resorts you might contemplate are Sorobon in Bonaire (very small, very quiet, very relaxed) and Hidden Beach in Cancun (larger and more luxurious).
