Anyone out there in Winnipeg? Why don't you come forward and say "Hi", let me know that I'm not all alone here.

I'm from Wpg. Does that count? :D

The last place I lived in was the Silver Heights apt on Portage Ave.

Of course it counts, question is...what are you doing all the way on the West coast? What made you trade palm trees for iglos?

A girl. Now me wife. :)

Been here since 2001. Its ok, but too damned hot. I told my wife today that we need to turn the ceiling fan on at night now, she loooked at me like I am crazy. Right now its +9C at 10pm. Tomorrow its going to be +22C, its too early in the year for this temp. :p

Now how did I miss this one???

Yup, I'm from Winnipeg and eagerly waiting a chance to get back to the beach once this damn snow melts.

I am from Winnipeg. I understand last year there was a group playing Bocci on the ice on the lake in April. The sand was dry, and the sun was hot. It is snowing right now. I am getting a little anxious.

I can believe it. We have some warm days in April and as long as the wind is from the south or east the beach is OK. It's when you get that wind off the lake in the spring that it can be a bit frosty. Takes a while for all that water to warm up.

No worries, it won't be long now until we can get back there.
