YONKERS (http://newyork.newsvine.com/) — Suburban New York police say a drunken driver had a suspended license and had marijuana in her car. Oh, they also say she didn't have any pants on.

Yonkers police say 22-year-old Long Island resident Angelica Buchanan was found Saturday standing bottomless in a street near her car. They say she was so drunk she had to be hospitalized.

Police say she claimed she wasn't wearing pants because she needed to use the bathroom. They've charged her with driving while intoxicated, unlicensed operation of a vehicle and marijuana possession but not public lewdness.

A telephone message left at her family's Rockville Centre home Tuesday night hasn't been returned.

Earlier this month a Westchester County man was accused of using a doughnut shop's drive-through lane while not wearing pants. He's has been charged with public lewdness. (See thread on the driver here (http://www.clothesfreeforums/showthread.php?t=11653))

It is a double standard I tell you - a double standard!

Does it say that she was not wearing underwear? The link is only to the main page, not the article.

I look at it a little different. I would think that the county prosecutor had some pity on her and figured the other charges were harsh enough to not worry about the pantless situation.

The guy with the donuts was out of line. A real nudist, knowing how driving nude could offend, would have had a cloth handy to cover himself up when going thru the drive thru. I really think he did that for the shock factor. Not to mention that the donut employee complained about it. Whereas the officers finding the girl on the road were probably more concerned about her state of drunkeness vs her state of undress. Since no citizen complained about it they have a little more leeway. Which is a good thing. It could have been a lot worse for the poor girl if the wrong person would have found her.

This does seem like a double standard.

Reminds me of the Maine story where two women successfully argued out of a public indecency charge based on the fact that the officer who arrested them for jogging naked could not see her sexual organs as is written in the law.

Of course, for a man, his sexual organ is visible when naked, so he can't be legally naked.

This is the same justification that Hollywood uses to claim that the female body is beautiful but the male body is ugly.

I have heard talk show hosts say that the female form is rounded, smooth, beautiful. But the male form had 'junk' hanging and ugly, etc.

How can anyone think that way? well, let me rephrase... How can any intelligent person that has not been brainwashed by the clothing dependent society think that way? Growing up in a nude family has its plusses.
