Nudists are concerned about a proposed by-law that could forbid them from skinny-dipping at popular Peka Peka Beach.
The Kapiti Coast District Council plans to forbid people being in view of others in any state of undress that causes concern.
Naturist Joyce Fleming from the Free Beach Group says she is worried society is becoming less tolerant of nudity, and confusing it with deviant behaviour.
She says they have a strict code of conduct and they work with police to catch people who are behaving offensively on the beach.
Fleming says the by-law will be hard to police as different people will have different ideas about what state of undress causes concern.

Im glad to hear that they get along with the police. That will probally help defend themselves and allow nudists.
