Ive never really gotten into it, Does it have any good features? What makes it better than Microsoft Internet Explorer of Safari? Im not trying to put you down, Im just wondering. I have heard many good things about it but no-one ever tells me the features.

Unitednudist, I used Explorer for years and got sick of problems. So I tried Mozilla Firefox. I don't have problems with that. It seems to do everything that explorer PLUS I can enlarge the fonts by clicking Crtl+ one or more times. That suits my poor eyesight.

It is free , I suggest that you try it. The only issue I have with it is that my banks don't allow money transfers when using Mozilla. I can look at everything but when I want to pay or transfer funds I have to open Explorer to do it.

I also use Thunderbird (Mozilla) for my eMails. I got sick of OUtlook Express crashing all the time . Mozilla's Thunderbird eMail system has never crashed and seemed to do everything that OUtlook Express does.

Firefox is the way to go. You might find some websites (usually written with MS Frontpage) will not display properly but for the most part Firefox has less crashes and more USEABLE features. I do not recommend Internet Explorer (aka Internet Exploder) past 6. On some older websites the pages will give you gibberish.
I design websites for a living and have to test with all browsers and versions but for my own use I prefer Firefox.

Good Thing I tried. I agree with you, Fire-Fox is much better.

I am running the latest release of Firefox and it works great. I am still using Internet Explore 6 because Windows XP service pack 2 won't install on my computer. The service pack install stops most of the way through and then reverts back to service pack 1.

I prefer a browser like Firefox that isn't tied to a specific OS version.

Firefox. However, I have to keep IE available as there are a few websites still incompatible with Firefox and data will not display properly, if at all. These seem to be mostly, but not entirely, financial sites.

Firefox is definitely a much better browser! The add-ons increase the usefulness of the browser immensely, allowing you to tailor the browser so that it works the way you want it to work.
I've found an add-on that will let you right-click a word and instantly get a definition, one that lets you go backward or forward in the history list just by right-clicking and dragging the mouse, and one that will let you zoom an image by right-clicking it.
As others mentioned, there are a few older sites that don't display properly, but the more important ones, (like this one!) render perfectly.

It also supports nude web surfing.

I have had to many problems with Internet Explorer and recently switched to Firefox. I love it! No comparison to anything else, I will never go back.

Well....I have been getting very irritated trying to find a browser that does all I want it to.

I tried firefox and a couple sites would not work. I tried Opera and again I would have certain features on certain sites not working. I went back to IE the same thing.

I am currently trying Safari, and so far so good. Everything I need to work works. It is fast, REAL fast. The bookmark bar at the top is great and easy to use.

So as I see it [at this moment] Safari might be the one finally.

That's really pretty rare. I use Firefox and I've never seen the problem.

But the main reason that I like Firefox is the deli.ico.us plugin that handles bookmarks using replaceable and customizable toolbars. You should try it. What it allows you to do is to tag any website with a keyword, build menu bars for any tag and then select any of these custom toolbars.

For example:

1. Tag all of the naturist sites that you visit with the tag: naturist.
2. Define a menu bar for all sites with the tag: naturist.
3. Select that menu bar and you have all of the naturist sites you visit just one click away.

Do the same with tag:news and you have a menu bar of all your news sites. I have 10 or so menu bars and I just select the one I want depending on the task at hand.

It is a near perfect system for organizing bookmarked websites. I acutally don't think it can be improved on.

For clarification a couple functions would not work. I liked firefox, however so far I like Safari much better. Of course this is based on using it for about an hour, so I will reserve the right to change my mind.

Safari is the best I tried so far.
Despite initial security issues (http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,132841-c,browsersecurity/article.html) with Safari (apparently fixed in latest version), I have also got hooked, and have largely switched to Safari from Firefox. I just like the clean interface, the way it handles bookmarks, and things like font control and the "Open in tabs" option that lets you easily open a group of websites with one click.

Firefox - Simplicity - sense of greater security - fewer annoyances - fab plug-ins.

Nope not at all. I am running safari on my laptop and two of my desktops. The desktops are XP and my laptop is Vista.

I needed to have a computer tech do some work on my system a while ago and he installed FireFox (with my permission). He said that FireFox was much better then IE and doesn't have the trouble that IE routinely has. I have been using FireFox for 2 yrs and haven't gone back to IE.
