Hello all! I'm a new-to-nudism married man. I've experienced something that I haven't seen addressed anywhere, so I was wondering if any of you other guys have experienced the same thing.
I went to a nudist beach for my first time last summer, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! It wasn't an official beach, just a secluded area, but there were several other people there. The problem that I'm having isn't the typical male concern, getting an unwanted erection, but rather starting to leak. I never got an erection while I was there, and didn't find the experience sexual, but nevertheless, the ol' cowpers gland cranked it up to high gear, and I basically dripped the whole time i was there. I found it to be quite embarassing.
Any of you guys ever had this happen to you? Will this go away so that I don't have to worry about it?

Some will scoff...but...

I have been told of a nudist with a somewhat similar issue. Some type of urethral condition which causes this. The women that had met him were discussing it and were obviously appalled by it. I agree with Jon; checking with a doctor is probably the best course of action.

hmm... somehow, i don't think that this is a "medical problem" per se, because it doesn't happen at other times, just when I'm nude with others. Perhaps it is a sexual response after all, as now that I think about it, it also happened when I was around my wife before we were married. (not so much anymore... hmm... )
I don't seem to have the other common sexual response, however, as I mentioned earlier.
So no one that has read this so far has had a similar experience?

It is my understanding that the cowper glands are small glands located along the uretha, and is a fluid that lubricates a man for intercourse. (The female vagina "gets wet" also as a lubricant for intercourse). Some people have more active, productive cowper glands than others.

I have seen vollyball players and artists models "leak" a lot of this crystal clear fluid. One vollyball player had a string of cowpers fluid a foot long dangling from his penis. He did not stop playing vollyball but merely quickly wiped it on his leg. I assume that in the sun that it drys fast on the leg, becoming transparent.

yes it's a perfectly normal reaction that varies among men, there is nothing "wrong" with you, in fact it's a good healthy sign. It will probabaly subside when you become comfortable in any given situation like that. Feel free to contact me.

Description of the Cowper's Gland and its secretion and purpose:

Cowper’s Gland
Two small glands (about the size of peas) beneath the prostate gland and on each side of the urethra also produce fluids for sexual intercourse. The gland is also known as the bulbourethral, though most people refer to it as the Cowper’s gland – Dr. Cowper being the one who discovered the function of the gland.

The clear fluid begins to flow when a man is sexually aroused. It flows through the urethra and drips from the end of the penis. This fluid contains ingredients which neutralizes the acids normally left in the urethra from urine. It is also very slick, providing a small amount of lubrication for intercourse.

The amount of fluid produced varies from man-to-man and situation-to-situation. It can be embarrassing at times to find a wet stain on your trousers as a tell-tale indicator of your thoughts.

Since the fluid is flushing the urethra and prostate opens the pathway to the ejaculatory duct in preparation, it is possible, even likely, for the fluid from the Cowper’s gland to contain a small quantity of sperm.

Because of this, withdrawing before ejaculating is never one-hundred percent effective in preventing pregnancy. While the odds are against it, it just takes one sperm to fertilize an egg.

Over the years I have seen this occur with couple of nudist out in the open while socializing or talking. The fluid is crystal clear and quite viscous and stringy if touched or wiped. One just had a drop forming at the end or opening of the penis urethra. The other was a friend that I often talk to, and during a short conversation a couple of drips of this crystal clear viscous fluid appeared and strung out several inches to a foot or so [as David77 mentioned] before dropping to the grass. I didn't comment or either did he as its a uncommon but natural body function especially noticed when one is nude but obviously not in any sexual activity or stimulation.

It happens quite often, even when I'm in the back working in the yard. Obviously not in a 'sexually driven atmosphere'. It has continued to happen over the years, sometimes more than others. My guess is it may have to do with thy type of activity you are doing at the time. In my case, working in the yard and constantly stooping over (weeds) may contribute. Volleyball players, obviously strenuous activity is involved as well as any other outside activity. This may also cause 'drippage'.

Even though you are not 'aroused', it is possible you may get some 'tingles', just by being nude. And any type of activity may stimulate such reaction which may cause leakage. I believe it is a normal bodily function, and the more active you are, the more apt you are to have leakage. Just casually wipe it off and continue. It has happened to me at my visits to the beach, and I just wipe it and continue on. I haven't been to any resorts to witness if it happens at those places or not, but I'm sure it does.:smoking:

Haven't had that happen to me since I was a teen.

However, I have seen it happen to other guys occasionally at nude resorts, but mostly nude beaches. If spotted on someone, just ignore it and try to make sure it doesn't get on you or your stuff.

Had this incident happen to me once before. I was playing volleyball in the nude and well i started to leak myself. I just attributed it to the fact that I had never been this active while being completely nude before. Didn't really try to make a spectacle of it, although I was a bit embarrissed, but I don't think anyone noticed. I guess I can relate to the volleyball player comment that was mentioned earlier, lol!

I never had that problem till I ran a 5k nude. It was embrassing but dont think too many people noticed other than myself. I couldn't wait for the race to end to go and clean myself up. Hot, sweaty, and sticky. Yuck!

I've noticed that I've had a bit of leakage on occasion while at nudist venues but it wasn't much and I didn't really pay much attention to it. I'm sure no one else noticed. I didn't think it was a big deal.

Since I started this thread, I've been to my first therapeutic massage. Once again, there wasn't any sexual feelings there, but I again leaked the whole time! There was a wet spot on the towel underneath when I turned over, and a puddle on my stomach once we were done. I don't think the therapist noticed; if he did, he was very professional about it and didn't mention it at all.
I wish there was some way I could just turn off the faucet!

Yes it's all part of the normal lubrication system, and it is a fantastic lubricant very much appreciated at the right time!
I produce a lot of it and always associated it with a sexual situation but it does occur at other (non sexual) times which did bother me a little at first thinking that I was being turned on by simple nudism. But over the years I've realised that there are a lot of others who do the same thing and I now know I'm not an oddity. It can happen without any sort of sexual thoughts even when I'm on my own just enjoying the warm sun and gentle breeze on my body.
I would like to add that it's great to be able to talk to other men about these things and realise that others are the same and I'm not an oddity.

I have an over active gland with produces a lot of fluid and leak quite a bit whether erect or not. I used to be embarassed by this when at a nude beach or resort, but found I can not prevent it so just let it be. I have never had any negative reactions from other nudists. Once playing volleyball I noticed strands of it hanging to my knees, also just walking the beach I have had a lot of leakage from my penis. It's a natural function for us guys and some of us just produce more that others. It's all natural.

It happened to me the very first time I modeled nude for a drawing group. I didn't even notice it myself, because I was busy posing, but all of a sudden the group coordinator said "Let's take a break". As I was putting my robe on, I saw a string hanging down. The way the coordinator handled it was very professional and it was no big deal at all. That was the last of the problem for me. Never had it happen again. I guess it was probably just nerves in my case.

This happened to me today when I was at my local C/O resort, and a few other times when I'm nude outdoors. I think it's caused when I'm facing the sun. The heat causes more blood to flow to that area to cool it off and, thereby, increasing the size. I suppose leakage of the Cowlper's fluid is a natural occurance when that happens.

My wife and I are new to nude recreation and the last time we were at a resort I had the same issue. I was embarassed and even though I was not sexually arroused I had a small leak. i haven't noticed this problem (nor anyone else who may have brought my attention to it ) but i would treat it as i would getting erect. i had one house guest who had that problem. he just excused himself and we carried our normal social routine over coffee. we made no big deal of it or shamed him. it probobly has to do with stimulation. even though you are not aware of it. just my opinion.

judging by your experience and that of some of the other men who've posted in this thread, it appears that the amount of male "leakage" is an individual thing; my leakage has decreased a lot as i've gotten more used to social nudity, but it sounds like you're very used to being naked in public, so, as you say, it must just be a natural thing for you.

it's terrific that the people you were with didn't make a fuss about it.

I have the same "problem" as the original poster, every time I hike nude I find myself leaking almost constantly. It even happens when I'm just sitting around nude at home. And it doesn't always coincide with an erection. I just make sure to sit on a towel ;)

Yep, it happens all the time to one of us. Don't worry about it. Just politely wipe it off and act natural. Everybody knows "those things" have minds of their own.
