Well, the door didn't slam in their faces! All they need to do is plan and organize an event and then take that to the TDC. Hopefully, the TDC will see the event as positive and grant them to funds to promote that event.

I agree-they should "call them" on their comment that they only promote specific events. I believe they should plan an "open house" type of event and see if they can get the advertising! This would also help folks on the fence to come see what nude recreation is all about.
