Kelly Clarkson's got a kinky side! She's gotten so comfortable in her own skin that she walks around her house naked, even when there are guests there. Now, these aren't any old guests, so don't get your hopes up too soon.

She mostly goes in the buff when doing photoshoots or fittings. She says she just really likes being naked. Kelly should think about doing a nudist colony tour! They would love her!

I think Kelly is a breath of fresh air. First she is a fantastic singer who actually sings. Also I recall reading how she will not give in to the image in Hollywood on losing wesight and trying to be something she is not. She accepts herself as she is. Maybe the fact that she likes going nude has a lot to do with that. I think she is more of an actual nudist than a lot of other celebreties. Kelly actually goes nude for the same reason a lot of us do.

It's frustrating at times that there is such a disconnect between "the celebrity world" and our own.

Like Kelly Clarkson, for instance, she sounds like a nudist to me. The press has even labeled her as one (along with other celebrities), BUT they are sort of hung high and dry. Their love for being clothes free is not legitimized, but rather played down as a quirky novelty. Meanwhile more common nudists, like us, have nobody to legitimize us.

So the famous people are not legitimized for their interest, and we are not legitimized for ours......and so nudism in general is left unlegitimized.

I think if we could somehow bridge that gap, get a famous nudist to join AANR or make them a part of "The Nude Revolution", then we would add a lot of credibility to our cause.

So....does anybody know Kelly Clarkson? ;)

When it comes to the crunch, most female celebrity nudists are not all that keen to pontificate on or publicise their lifestyle that much.

Kelly Clarkson might have gone around naked as a kid, but this is the now and I don't know if she still feels the same as she did back then.

What we need are celebrities and singers who *are* prepared to endorse nudist organiations like the TNS, AANR and CFI as well as the INF and prepared to 'walk the walk'.

Speaking of which, I am (finally) auditioning a new lineup for Laissez-Fayre tonight - the lead singer is curious to give nudism a go because she says that people won't grow unless they push and challenge societal norms.

Before cff switched servers or whatever a few months back I had a head shot as my avatar and my wife was very uneasy with that. It was like pulling teeth to get her to take the pic and I was clothed and only from the shoulders up at that. Once something is on the internet you have no control over it so I can understand being cautious.

Here's what I say let's all go out and buy her CD. I don't even know what kind of music she sings. However I feel she deserves a bump from us so she will know we are her people. I would even suggest some national nudist organization go ask her to perform for us at one of our larger venues. Therein lies the quandary for nudist celebs. It's hard to openly go nude at a beach when you know there is a fairly good chance some paparazzi will "catch" you; and if they catch you, there is a good chance nude pictures of you will subsequently inundate the internet. And then, the negative comments: "Look at Kelly Clarkson; doesn't she look fat? Check out those stretchmarks..." Our culture loves to throw bricks at our celebs. We're funny that way...

So, very often, they will voice their appreciation of nudity/topfreedom and just leave it at that. And it becomes easy to dismiss as just another celebrity "ranting" or publicity stunt. I think the odds are fairly slim that a celebrity will, in a sustained manner, support nudism and demonstrate that support. Diane Webber did it; but that was the sixties and the paparazzis didn't exist yet.

I would think that if you were at an organized and secure family type nude resort, you would be fairly safe from peeping paparazzi. Then again, I have no idea what I am talking about half the time.

That's where someone like her has a problem. Epically because she mostly appeals to teens and young girls and part of her appeal is her clean image. Lots of Moms probably wouldn't get what it was about if she was photographed nude on Haulover beach and say she was a poor role model for kids.

In that way, playboy bunny & stolen sex tape star Pamela Anderson had it easier when she was photographed topfree on a boat. Everyone was like "YAWN, we've seen them already." The only controversy was that GASP, her son was on the boat and could actually see that mommy's boobs have nipples.

Personally I'd just like to see a celeb beat everyone to the punch and just say "I'm a nudist, here are some pics of me and my sweetheart down on Haulover Beach on our last vacation." I'm sure it wouldn't stop people from taking more pics but it would keep them from being able to sell them for a lot of money if the celeb had already released their own nude pics and keep it from being a huge front page scoop that they enjoy the nude beaches or resorts.

I would say Kelly Clarkson definatly sounds like a nudist. Would she ever come out and endorse any national organization, I would say no. It would be a shame, but I would not blame her at all. In today's world with the media, they try to bring down anyone they can and slur their name. If she came out and said she was a nudist, anyplace she would go, she would have the crowds like Brittney Spears has following her. The media would then try and make her look bad and paint nudists in a negative light. As I said in a previous post, Kelly Clarkson is a breath of fresh air. First, she is a fantastic singer. Second, she is not perfect and has not given into the typical Hollywood image of being thin and anorexic. Maybe if AANR, TNS, or Clothes free contacted her people and offered an honorary membership and honor her like Helen Mirren, maybe she would embrace it. Kelly Clarkson comes across as a person who is real and does not forget her roots. I think the Nude Revolution program would be a great group to reach out to a celebrity like kelly Clarkson. She apeals to the younger kids with her music and would be a good role model to help nudists gain more acceptance. Maybe she can be today's diane Webber. You never know.

I'd like to believe that ... but ... nearly everybody has a cell phone with a camera built in. The vast majority of people at resorts would respect their privacy, but there are bound to be one or two in every crowd who wouldn't be able to resist the temptation to sneak a photo of a visiting celebrity.

However, many celebs are nearly unrecognizable without their makeup, hair, and wardrobe (except to the paparazzi). With all their imperfections showing and no clothes ... they might be able to pass off any recognition with "I get that a lot!".

So Kelly, if you are reading this, you are welcome to visit as my cousin 'Kimmy'.

I'm simply not sure having a celebrity in our corner would help legitimize the lifestyle. How often have celebrity spokespersons come forward on an issue like Charlton Heston (R.i.P) on our right to bear arms and been largely marginalized (or worse, labeled as somewhat kooky).

Yea, she's one of us. I have noticed that her weight goes up and down, and when asked, she does NOT apologize about it.

Nudism is SUPPOSED to be about bodily acceptance, seems to me that Kelly is an example of a young lady in a sexually charged world TRYING to accept herself and others, no matter if she DOESN"T always look like a model.

Someone should point her to some resorts that are closed off to the general public. Places like Living Waters or Terra Cotta. Both great, small, resorts that the public cannot peak into. I'm sure there are many others as well.

Yep, I mentioned that earlier. Even at a resort with very strict rules there will be at least one person in the crowd who is going to succumb to temptation and sneak a pic ... Then they'll succumb to temptation and show it to someone else ... then ....

The only way to deal with that is to not care, like Helen Mirren or Sir Ian McKellen.

That would be a great idea. There have been well known bands in the past that have performed at resort. Turtle Lake in Michigan used to have them. I am friends with the band legendary band Styx and they performed at Turtle Lakes and did Kansas and Foriegner. I am sure Kelly would do a performance. however her agents most likely would not allow here because of the money issue. She is a breath of fresh air not jsut for her enjoyment of nudity, but her attitude on her appearence. She does not give in to the hHolleywood pressures and become anorexic. She is a great rold model for the younger girls out there.

Therefore it's not in their best interest if their client perform for very little money (unless it's charity, which generates positive publicity), or perform in a matter that they believe would generate negative publicity (and hence result in a drop in revenue). They fail to think outside of the box.
