The Belgian coastal resort of Middelkerke is contemplating opening the country's second nude beach by the summer of 2009.
Belgium used to have a rather conservative image until the town of Bredene opened up its first nude beach a couple of years ago, but now naturism has apparently proved a success so more towns are following.
The only problem with Middelkerke is that the local government is divided between supporters and opponents of the nude beach ... so there's no certainty about 2009 yet.
