Dominic Littlewood visits Abbey House Gardens in rural Wiltshire to get closer to nature - in more ways than one…

When Ian and Barbara Pollard bought Abbey House Gardens, a Benedictine monastery, they set about restoring the gardens to reflect its history.
They’ve planted thousands of tulips, made a laburnum tunnel, a herb garden and a knot garden in the form of a Celtic cross - all while being completely naked, but for a pair of boots and some gardening gloves!
Ian and Barbara were labelled the Naked Gardeners when BBC’s “Gardener’s World” filmed them. This created a wave of interest from other naturists wanting to visit, so they decided to have an open day once a month.
In contrast to a normal naturist event, where everyone has to be naked, at Abbey House it is optional.

CFI's UK reporter and cameraman was there at Abbey House on June 1st, hopefully he got some good footage and you'll be seeing more of AHG here on CFI soon.

Saw Barebum too, we had a good chat and remembered our meeting last year at Cap d'Adge, shame we don't get to meet any of our American cousins over here, if any of you are planning to come to the Untied Kingdom I do hope you'll let us know, as a matter of interest there were some Americans who recently sought out and joined a Singles Outdoor Club walk in the English countryside, as nature intended of course.

After naturist cruises and naturist flights, gardening in the nude could be the next best thing to attract attention from the mainstream media.
Does anyone know of any such events outside of the UK?
