Nice article. Thanks for sharing with us. Only hope the locals would take the same approach, but highly unlikely.:smoking:

Very nice, would be so nice if it was allowed in the states, but unlikely we will see it in this lifetime. I believe it should allowed everywhere and anywhere .

go canada! with the money woes here, along with everyone else having them, it would be so great to just sit outside and enjoy nature in the back yard! we're lucky enough to have friends that do just that and invite us for pic nics. they have secluded property and i must say it's an enjoyable day!!

I think this was the best part of the article. It's represents an idea that, for me at least, is really at the heart of nudism. It deserves a second look.

For the greater good of society, public nudity is worth pursuing, according to Brian Ferris, a clinical psychologist in private practice in North Vancouver. All this bare skin is a good sign of the city’s mental health, he said. Vancouver has a playfulness drought, Ferris believes, and being naked in a group not only is playful but can break down feelings of social isolation.

“Most recreations for adults are like golf—work hard, try hard,” the psychologist told the Straight from his office. “There’s no silliness. I think it’s time that the world was more silly. And nudity is one of the ways you can be silly.…The people having fun are not the ones to worry about. The people you have to worry about are…the people who are really serious and feel threatened. When people are frightened, they’re not playful. When people are laughing and having fun, they don’t do harm to others. The world needs more play. The world needs more laughter and fun.”

That was an awesome article! I did read some negative comments in the comment section though. I suppose that is to be expected and there were just as many positive statements as well.

Yah know, with all the nudists being used in commercials and the media coverage of nude beaches and the nudist resorts WNBR in the news I do think we are being considered less weird than say 20 years ago. I wonder if we will see a resurgence in nudism? I hope so. I know I am doing my part just about all the neighbors around here know not to come around directly to the backyard unless they want to see my naked butt! I used to worry OMG what wil the neighbors think but anymore I don't give a damn. One of the very few nice things about getting older, not caring what others think. LOL
