I am aware that the AANR West Convention is coming up the end of July and have been trying to find info about it - schedule, registration info, etc., and have been unable to find much other than just basic announcements that it is happening and dates. Nothing on AANR or AANR West websites, nothing in "the bulletin", no AANR mailing (to me anyway) and nothing on the DeAnza Springs website. Is this typical of these events or am I missing something? How would anyone know which days, or even if at all, they'd want to attend?

You may have seen this from the DeAnza website. It's their newsletter and it give a few details. http://www.aanrwest.org/documents/WesternSun0805.pdf

Oh, fer &$l@*& sake! Why on earth would the AANR West Convention be the same weekend as the WCANR Convention? Not that i could go to both this year anyway, but what if i wanted to? Why don't these people pay attention to each other and co-ordinate better? August 3 is a Canadian civic holiday, so it's obvious why it's that day in Canada.
So... AANR... why the same weekend when the Americans don't have a holiday that weekend?? You'd get a much bigger turnout if you "invited" Canadians like me, who have paid AANR memberships as well (by not scheduling on their day)! *big sigh*
Hehe. Anyway, thanks for the update Denita! I'll just be going to the WCANR Convention this year!

Thanks Denita! Yes, I did find that already, also. That small blurb in the Western Sun (AANR West Newsletter) is the most information I've seen published about the upcoming convention (only a few weeks away) and that isn't saying much.
My post was made out of genuine interest and wanting to know more. Also, though, I am curious why it seems AANR/AANR West/DeAnza don't seem to promote or market such events very effectively. TNS has a tentative schedule
of events, registration form, and other info posted for it's Western Gathering which is still months away.
