Hey all. I've been on this site for a while, but i'm new to posting, so bear with me. I've been a home nudist for as long as I can remember, but have never been nude in public because I'm overweight, with a small penis. It's strange, because I couldn't care less about what other people look like naked. I want to go to a local resort, but I'm single, and worry what people will think of me. Any advice would be appreciated.

If it has been said before it wont change over time. You wont be judged by how you look. On all of the beaches and the few clubs I have been to, I have never heard or thought "Look at that mans penis" its the same with women and breasts or anyone with weight. that is one of the reasons I got into all this. As long as you dont talk about the subject, no one else will.

Stop worrying. You are far from unique. Very very far. You might even be among the majority. But even if you were completely different - no one will care.
As for being single - that is not a problem at most resorts. Be sure to call first & ask if there will be any problem - they might tell you about a gender balance policy - but those are seldom used to prevent visits.

How often must we answer the same concerns??....
Honestly, the only person that will ever notice your 'imperfections' is YOU! Just go to a resort and see for yourself. You will only be judged on the size of your smile. That's a fact.

Thanks, Rebecca, Mark, and, Jeep. I know you're probably right, but it's hard to take that final step. Body issues. I just want to lie out nude in the sun, and read a book by a lake.

Buddy,
In my visits to naturist resorts and beaches in many countries, I have seen nudists who (1) have severe psoraiasis (spelling?); (2) have had one or two breasts removed due to cancer; (3) have been in wheelchairs, some with a colostomy bag; (4) have been disfigured or scarred due to burns or teenage acne or chicken pox; ((5) are blind or deaf...
..in other words, with all due respect, there is *always* someone else who has a bigger problem than yourself. Being overweight can be overcome, and a lesser-than-regular sized penis is not a big deal, in the grand scheme of things. Does it work OK? That's the most important thing.
The other posters are correct. I think we are all so grateful to be in an environment that allows us to be nude makes everyone so much more accepting of one another -- and accepting of the deficiencies that we (stupidly) see in ourselves.
Good luck,
J.

Crosseyed2,
Many overweight men merely appear to have a smaller penis because the "supra-pubic tissue", that is, the excess fat above the penis falls down by gravity and covers up part of the penis making it look smaller, or retrograded (pushed in) with little more than the tip showing. If you went to many nude functions you would see that you probably appear no different than many other overweight men.

I was about to add my own content and Journeyman beat me to it.
Naturism is about tolerance of all and respect for individuals with the removal of shame (IMHO). Now, if you wore a codpiece that would be considered strange :-) ...actually if you wore clothes that would be considered very strange but then I cannot help that thought; after all I am normal!!!

Crosseyed2,
do not worry about it. there is nobody uglier than myself running arround nude at a resort. I have scleroderma, right hand amputated and like you, a small penis. But who cares: NOBODY.
I feel the best, when I can walk arround in the nude, it gives me something very positive back.
Do not worry nobody will care how you look.

Among true nudists this is the norm, but was it on CFF that I read someone's experience that they went to a nudist beach and there were two ladies pointing and laughing at their small penis?

That would have been one of the many untrue things made up by people who come here looking for erotica and then lash out when they discover that there is no erotica here.

I am glad where I do go and enjoy being among friends never had me concerned with what I do have and the best thing is that you will just enjoy the freedom and the enjoyment of being with friends who share what you enjoy doing at home or at the beach and clubs. Just be kind and helpful when called upon and join in different activities.

I just would like everyone to remember that the party that posted this is a new member. Perhaps those of us who have been here for awhile need to keep in mind that we have new folks joining us all the time. These newer members may post questions/concerns that are bothering them. That being said, I believe a bit of patience on the part of the more senior members is in order.
Crosseyed2 don't worry about what others think, it's what you think that truly matters! Enjoy!!

Wow! I never expected such a response. Thanks. You people are great. First off let me say that even though I believe true nudists don't care what you look like,it still is tough to take that first step. Second, for those of you sick of the topic, sorry. But it is a real concern for me, and probably others.

Go ahead and enjoy the nudist lifestyle my friend and have no worries. I have been a club member for about 20 years now and Ive never once seen/heard anyone making fun of a guy because he may have a small penis. I have never ever heard club members talking about another member because of his 'size'. Relax and enjoy the good friendships you will accquire there.Your concerns certainly are not the first here....and wont be the last!
Have fun ....and enjoy!

Crosseyed2, I know how you feel. People can tell you over and over that nobody will care and you believe them. But when you've grown up overweight, and with a small penis, it's difficult to take that first step. I was the same way until around the time I turned 40, and I think I just got tired of caring. :) I went to a nude beach while on vacation, and just told myself that I'd never see those people again. I didn't see anyone staring or laughing or paying any attention at all. It gets a lot easier after that first time.

I was born with NO penis. If anyone was up against it, then it was me. Two years ago in a state of depression, I stepped on a nudist beach as if to say, "Ok, do your worst!" Surprise, every one there accepted me as just another guy on a beach. Which of course I was! How stupid of me to hide myself away for 25 wasted years.
True, it's not all perfect. I get pockets of abuse and discrimination, mainly on the internet. But these people are so rare it is they who look ridiculous.
Get out there Crosseyed. Oh and if you see me don't laugh! As if, LMAO!

Your answering your own question.
What other people think of you is about what you think of other people. The more important issue that it seems you need to address is what you think of yourself. What you 'think' other people might think if you is only a reflection of what you think of yourself...and there is no need to think like that.

I had two concerns the first time i went to a nude swim.
1) I would get an erection
2) My penis would shrink to a smaller size in the cold water
then i figured that its kind of impossible for both to happen at once! and so I realized i was being silly!.. although the latter does happen... I realized that i didn't care about how big anyone else was endowed at the swim.. so they probably didn't care about me either :)

i spent over 4 years in germany in the airforce. germany as many of you know has a thriving nudist community. yet, because i (at the time) felt i was overweight and had a less-than-desirable penis size, i didn't use that time to join in! even when i went with a very good female friend to a lake that was clothed on the beach side and nude on the wooded side, and we walked around the entire lake (small lake, ha), and she said she'd at least go topless if i took off my swim trunks, i STILL didn't go for it (been kicking myself ever since for that bit of stupidity). i was also too shy to go to the sauna complex that was near the base because "someone i know might see me". later of course i realize that's silly because if they're there seeing me nude i'm there seeing them nude as well.
then i went back to germany for 3 months 2 years later, 40 lbs heavier (before i was only overweight according to the af's standards but not to most people's...this time i really did have a gut), and with less hair, i decided i wouldn't let any of that bother me anymore! so, i went probably about 5 or 6 times in that 3 months to sauna complexes and it was one of the best experiences EVER! there were people of ALL ages, ALL weight classes, both genders enjoying nude recreation and i was just completely relaxed! why didn't i spend the other 4 years enjoying this?

... why didn't i spend the other 4 years enjoying this?
Because you're typical of so many people who don't subscribe to that famous tagline from Nike: "Just do it!"
Humans are complex creatures, but why we just don't ignore ingrained fears about things that can't really harm us (like simple social nudity) is a study for today's sociologists.

For some reason I fixate on my size far too often. It's one of the reasons I started doing the nudist thing--to be more comfortable with my own body. I'm average, so big woop. I don't care what other guys are sporting, so what's the difference right? Who knows. I know I just fixate on it when I'm on my own. I thought I'd be mortified at my first nudist experience because of that, and because I wouldn't mind shedding a few pounds either. However for me it was perfectly comfortable the from the first moment. Most of the guys hang the same and have comparable builds and I'd say I've never met someone who gave a crap how little or how big someone appeared. Yet most of us do worry about it, so you are really not alone in all this.

You see, whenever I read something like this the question I have is this ...
What does anyone think a small penis signifies besides having a small penis?
Do we think this is some sort of curse earned through a moral lapse that gives some of us a smaller penis than others? Well that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Do we think that our penis size is an indicator of sexual prowess? Well, I can't imagine how one would measure that, but I'm sure it's not with a ruler. Besides, even if that were true, so what? We live our own sexuality, not anyone else's, so fretting about not packing a firehose ain't going to get you anywhere.
In any case, what if some silly twerp laughs at my penis, so what? You didn't do anything untoward to do that. It's not a mark of shame. It's just a penis, for heaven's sake. Someone stupid enough to laugh at a small penis (or small or missing breasts for that matter) mark themselves as immature idiots, so why care about their opinions? Tell them to take the leap, you enjoy the sun and good company and life goes on.

The size of your penis is unimportant in nudism. There are no contests or measuring involved.
But if you are unsatisfied with your size, I am reliably informed by late night TV commercials that you can take some pills for natural male enhancement that are guaranteed to increase the size of that certain part of your anatomy, or you money back! And you know it works, or else they couldn't afford to offer the guarantee!
I'm holding out for the rich and handsome pills.
