For those who have not seen this movie, please do so. And then ask yourself if the Iraq war was worth it. This is just one story of the thousands that has come from this war. For all the families that have had a lose from this war there is no way that as a nation we can make it up to you'll. For the ten of thousands of families that have had to go through hell from losing a loved one. A hell that will never go away something that they will have to endure for ever. No ground gained in Iraq will make up for the ground lost here.

We send our sons and daughters over to defeat an enemy, we have no idea who it is. And for a reason no one can explain. We will destroy a younger generation, and for what. Oil. So for all you that say we can't leave Iraq until we win, I ask you, win what? There are no winners in war. Only the war it self.

For all those families that have lost loved ones, sons, daughters, husbands, fathers, mothers, grand fathers and grand mothers. I can only say with a sad heart, how sorry I am. I only wish there was something I could do to make up for all your heart ach, all your anger.

If I had my way I would want to charge our president with war crimes, the genocide of a generation of our youths.

So all you that want to vote Republican, ask yourself this question. Who do I care for more, my children and there kids or myself? An true selfless american would make the right choice.

We watched it. Pretty much on spot. If you want a sense of what combat is really like, I suggest Blackhawk Down, and We Were Soldiers, each had firefights that were close to documentary level. You can't know the terror, boredom, insanity, nerve endings extending inches out from your skin, and exhilaration without being there, of course. You are never closer to another human being in your life than you are to your "buddies".

No one should ever have to experience it except as an utter, unquestioned necessity for survival.

There is a cost to war. At the individual level, and social level, and you're correct, only war wins at war.

Anyone who wants to see something about the long-term results of war, check out the episode of "No Reservations" when the host travels to Laos. Usually the show has a sense of sarcastic humor about it, but this episode was just really sad. To this day about 100 people are killed or maimed every year by the remaining millions of "unexploded ordinance" that still covers that country. We've done some awful things as a nation.

The show airs here on the travel channel.
