I sleep nude sometimes and would like to do it all the time but I have a concern because I have wet dreams occasionally. Sleeping in boxers, it's just a matter of tossing the wet boxers in the laundry, using a wash cloth to clean up, quick dry, new boxers and back to bed. I can't imagine sleeping nude, having a wet dream and changing sheets in the middle of the night and spending the rest of the night sleeping in a position to avoid the pool of sticky, wet semen. Hey guys, suggestions?

How old are you? Personally I've not had a wet dream in years because I deal with it when I'm awake - if you ejaculate frequently enough by some other means (sex, masturbation) then you shouldn't have wet dreams.

It's rare for me to have a wet dream now, but in the past when I had them more often, I would wipe the excess off the sheet with tissues. Then, I would get a few tissues clumped together and press it into the sheet to try to absorb as much of the moisture as I could. Although now that I think about it, paper towels or toilet paper may be better as they seem to be more absorbent than tissues  And/or maybe run a hair dryer or portable fan heater over it if that won't disturb anyone. Gee, I'm getting ideas now

Put a towel on the bed sheet underneath your loins. That's what I do to keep my dribbling penis from making yellow marks on the sheet. Would work for wet dreams, too.

I agree with Bob, I stopped having wet dreams as soon as i discovered how to take matters into my own hand so to speak. Not only did i not want to deal with the mess, but I did not want others to "discover" my "accidents" and it was a pleasurable way to solve the problem.

In codylechien's biography with this forum he states,

"Christian, conservative married 40+ years, 4 grandchildren".

Maybe he has an extra large quanity of hormones (large testicles).

Some experts theorize that wet dreams are one of the many sub conscious ways that the body handles stress.

How about a condom? Haven't bought one in decades so I have no idea what they cost these days.

I can't imagine anyone going to bed wearing a condom just incase they had a wet-dream. Easier to just leave underwear on if it's such a problem - although if it really is something that happens frequently then perhaps a doctors visit would be best.

Sperm is pure protein. It dries quickly.Still sleep in the nude, and dont let these dreams bother you.Your body heat will soon let the moisture evaporate. As you get used to the idea of being naked,it will sort itself out.It usualy happens when you have been sexually stimulated, and not eased the preasure.Another sugestion,a bit corney,If you feel a bit enlusted, and are maried, intercourse will help,or if not married, masturbate before sleeping,or read a non stimulating book before you sleep.

It does dry quickly, but leaves a stain behind - hence the problem that seems to be facing codylechien here

I was just thinking the same thing as Larry Sam. I believe I was 12, maybe 13 the last time that happen to me. This thread is a riot.

Hey Guys - thanks for your responses and inputs. I've noticed several things about this discussion. (1) no body has hi-jacked it to discuss something else :) (2) interesting and helpful suggestions, (3) David observed that wet dreams may be related to stress and (4)an on off-line comment from Bullet has caused me to consider that sleeping nude may be a stress reducer and thus reduce the occurance of wet dreams. Good discussion, guys.

Well, suprisingly, I had one last year at age 81, during a sexy dream.
That is a "riot"!

I must admit that I've had wet dreams in my adult life, although they are seldom and it's been a few years since the last one. I sleep nude, and I've found that the sensitivity that seemed so existent while wearing underwear in bed has decreased, thereby possibly lessening the chance of having one brought about by an erection rubbing up against something. Sheets or comforters move, creating less sensation that clothing would, so my observation would be that wet dreams could be exacerbated by wearing boxers, briefs, or pajamas. Granted, I've never done a scientific experiment since I have no desire to wear anything in bed, but it's something to consider.

Another thing to think about. I heard on the radio as I was driving to work this morning that there has been an experiment done comparing smell and dreams. Apparently if you smell something unpleasant before going to bed, it tends to cause bad dreams. On the other hand, if you smell something sweet, such as a rose or potpourri for instance, you tend to have pleasant dreams. They didn't mention wet dreams of course. I did find it interesting though.
