I've got kids in 2nd grade. They do know that there are 50 states unlike the candidate in this You tube video.

He obviously meant to say 47 and just misspoke.

Have you never just misspoke and not realized it? For example just the other day I told someone a little snack needed to go in the microwave for 45 minutes, rather than the 45 seconds I meant. I obviously meant seconds but I didn't even realize I had said it wrong until someone repeated it to me "did you say 45 minutes??????"

There are some things you can't afford to get wrong. Gravity, for one.

And there are some things that are immaterial because ....they are immaterial. 45 minutes when i meant 45 seconds. So, your popcorn is burnt to a crisp. No big deal.

There are some things that you shouldn't get wrong. Your name, your address, And, if you want to be President of the United States of American, the number of states in the country that you want to represent.

Not the same thing. I didn't actually think that it was 45 minutes I just made a verbal gaffe, same as he did. He didn't actually THINK we had 57 states, he was tired and made a gaffe. Have you never called one of your children by the wrong name, because that's common and if that's the best you can come up with it's a sure sign of desperation.

This just falls in line with what the McCain campaign is doing. Because they are losing when talking about issues, they are making it about Obama and attacking him personally. This is just more of the same. It is a sign of desperation.

Oh come on give me a break! Not only is this just nonsence, it is old nonsence. People you really need to stop making mountains out of molehills. Since you are at it allready, why not try to tie Obama with terrorist again? Oh, wait, Palin did.

In 15 or so months it would be quite easy to go to 57 states without ever going to Hawaii
or Alaska. Maine 4 times, New York 3 times, Florida 2 times, Alaska's little sister state Texas 4 times.....etc.
