A big thank you to Sharon and husband Larry for hosting Travelites' spooktacular Halloween party at their lovely home in northeast Columbia. The house was fantastically decorated for the day.
We had a Panther with baby panther, a coach, king & queen, jungle man, astronaut, clown (or was it a Smurf clown-LOL), hippie, and a few nudists who brought a variety of tasty dishes and snacks including a macaronni & cheese crock-pot, curried chicken, taco dish, a variety of cheeses & dips along with crackers and chips plus a red velvet cake and chocolate chip cookies.
First prize winner for costume: Sharon. Second place: Lynn
Wrap the Mummy contest was won by Allen's team.
All in attendance received small plush Halloween bears (or is it bares) as favors.

The next event will be our annual Thanksgiving feast (our property). The club supplies the turkey. Others are asked to bring side dishes such as mashed potatoes, salad, cranberry sauce, desserts, etc. This will be on Saturday, November 8th. Please RSVP no later than Oct. 30 so we have a large enough turkey.
The following event will be November 22nd at Larry's in Ridgeway, SC - our annual Lobster Bash & oyster roast. The next 16 who confirm they will be there will be receiving their lobsters at no cost (we have some RSVPs already for this). As I am personally being given these yummy crustaceans, I am passing on the thank you to our members. If you are interested in enjoying oysters, I need to know that no later than Tues., Nov. 18 as I have to place the order. These will be $9/person. There will also be pasta Alfredo for those who do not want seafood. Everyone is requested to bring a side dish such as cole slaw, lemons, unsalted butter, desserts, etc.
Hugs, Cheri
