The Seattle Parks and Recreation board has decided the city is large enough and diverse enough to include those who like to bare it all in public.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that a "legal" nude beach will be the end result. It is time that Washington State provides a designated area for those of use that want to enjoy the beach in the buff. I'm tired of driving 160 miles to Oregon. (I LOVE Collins Beach down there, I just don't enjoy the long drive to and from!)

Hey Denita, I am with you here. I too am hoping that this will result in the legalizing of either a full nude or clothing optional beach even though I do not live in that state! But I would love to visit it if I ever decided to visit the area. And like you said, it will be easier on you in terms of driving and gas! Powers to them tenfold!

What excellent news, with any luck this attitude will spread across the US, and with the USA having a major influence on the world it may even liberalise attitudes to nudity in other countries.

Yup, hopefully in January they'll vote in favour of Seattle having its own nudist beach and then there'll be no reason to have to tolerate nudity in the general public parks. Then everyone will be happy.
