Hey everyone.

Even though I have been a nudist for most of my teen years and I am 19 now. Currently, I am taking my first baby steps into the comunity by joining a few forums. Right now, before I dive into joining any nudist areas, I would just like to find a few freinds my age (teens to late mid 20s). Since on most regular forums it seems hard to find other young nudists. It almost feels like somtimes that because of sociaties standards and how we are taught, the beuty of the natural body is hidden from me. And if I ask to see it, I could easily get classified as a pervert.

So are there any british nudists, male or female (particularly female, as I get along with females best it seems), here who might like to exchange contacts? I simply want to share interests, ideals and other stuff that we can relate too. And know I'm talking to somone who doesn't feel they have to be coverd in variouse fabrics to be considerd "decent"!

I look forward to talking with everyone here, and I wish you all a happy new year :).

Hi

Have you looked in on YNIA (http://www.ynai.com/newfront/), a site exclusively for young nudists (That counts me out then!), also YBN (http://www.british-naturism.org.uk/youth/), the youth section of British Naturism (http://www.british-naturism.org.uk/), which requires membership, but the benefits are well worth the membership fee. I know a few members of YBN, including the guy that staterted it and they certainly know how to have a good time.

Take a look at the events available to BN members, maybe I'll see you at one next year, providing we get a summer next year that is!

I have recently joined the first site you linked there. However, I have recently been informed by another member here that there are a number of "fake" members there, and they could possibly have dodgey intentions. I don't know how many of these claims are true, but I want to be carefull.

The second site, I cannot join. Simply because I am getting money off chores currently and I just want to join in forums rather than go headfirst into a full nudist club right away.

I do apriciate your help though. Thanks :)

Edit: Also the problem with that second site is that it's hard to get the contacts of anyone. You can't view profiles and you can't ask directly for anyones contact. So it's not much use.

You'll find them anywhere I'm afraid, we have a resident prude who uses multiple identities (Kate Wolfe for one.), and quite recently a fraud was ejected, and not for the first time.

The contacts page can be found HERE (http://www.british-naturism.org.uk/contact/), but you can't see any profiles unless you join BN, and then you'll have access to both the main forum and the YBN forum as part of your membership package. There are new students rates that we voted in at the last AGM, this is part of the package to encourage people like yourself to join.

I made a mistake for the last post you quoted. I'm talking about the first one, the young naturist site which I was told had the faurd problems. That site doesn't allow you to view other peoples profiles and doesn't give messinger links directly. Sorry for that mix up ^^'.

Yes, I know a moderator (Sara) although I'm not a member I do know that you can't send PM's and view profiles until you've posted a certain number of messages to the board.

If you only want to go on and see naked girls you're going to be quite disappointed, and you'll be watched quite closely by the moderators, all untoward approaches are reported and action taken by the boards administrators.

P.S. I see from your YouTube profile that you are from Culcheth near Warrington. Your nearest swim would be at Worsley (http://www.silhouettelingerie.co.uk/nwn/), but there is also the Northgate Arena in Chester, run by Wirralnats, the same group that operates the Waterworld swim in Stoke-on-Trent, I used to go there myself when I lived in Chester.

Yeah, I understand why I can't view profiles yet. It is quite fair for security stuff.

Oh, and thanks for the info on the swim place :).

It's far better to find real-life experiences than rely on online discussions, which are generally useless unless you want to read page after page of people discussing their favorite shaving techniques in exceedingly graphic detail. That other site is full of fake profiles, as is this one most likely. I have occassionaly befriended real-life people on these sites, but it takes a lot of digging and patience.

There are some REAL nudists in here .... I have met several of the participants in here at various nudist events.

I guess this is like a broken record, as we used to say in the vinyl days ... BUT...

-- these boards are GREAT places for finding out information.

-- these boards are TERRIBLE places for true social nudist interaction.

If you want to try out nudism, then TRY OUT NUDISM.

Get the club listings from British Naturism.

Write down a few telephone numbers.

Make a few calls. Express your interest in wanting to try it out. If you get a recording device -- leave your REAL name, a REAL phone number, and a time that you can be contacted.

AND WHEN YOU GET AN INVITE == GO DO IT.

Remember, this is SOCIAL nudism we're talking about, so you have to be able to get on the phone, communicate, and socialize with others.

There are a great many people who come on here who have never tried social nudism for themselves.

There are a great many "wannabees" on here, who are just too scared to try it for themselves. I have heard absolutely, comical excuses for people not doing it.

"Oh, I can't swim." Uh, there's a pool there, but it's a gathering. Some don't get in the water.

"Uh, uh, I dunno. I don't know what my parents would think." If you're under legal age, you can't go anyway unless your parents are accompanying you. If you're OVER legal age, they don't have to know. I have little sympathy for the 30 year old single male who won't go to a nudist event because his mother won't give him permission to go. And unfortunately, I have met quite a few.

Last, but not least = "I need a helping hand." You gotta do it on your own.

It's social nudism. If you can't get up the courage to make that phone call, then you might not enjoy our world because it involves continuous social interaction. If you are one of those very few people who cannot relate to other people, then, please, please, stay home. But I doubt that's your situation.

There are also people who participate and enjoy social nudism, as it expands their lives -- social events, friends, travel, music, etc. etc. etc. etc.

There's one thing that people remark when they try it out for the first time -- "I wish I had done this when I was 20, or 21, or 22, and didn't wait until I was 40"....

It'll only cost you a few quid to drive to, or somehow get to, and attend a swim. So, go do it.

^ i don't want to be an echo chamber, but i think lurk is right

i got into nude recreation with an ex when i was 23. i forged connections with people by actively showing up to resorts. i did this in spite of the fact that i was a good 8-20 years younger than alot of people. but the beauty of it is, age becomes less of a factor when you are a capable, tolerant social being. being open about your appreciation for the nudist lifestyle in a real life setting speaks volumes more than simply being on messageboards (though they have their good purposes, for sure).

the best way to make friends who are into nude recreation is to show up to the places those people are at. incidentally, it helps a great deal in terms of converting some textiles when you've had these outside of the home experiences..if only because you are able to articulate what the environment is like better.
