The champion for nudism in NZ is a rugby player Marc Ellis. I haven't been involved in it yet, and may if I can get myself organised.

They specifically run a video competition to see who can make the most daring nude video. Overall it is meant for fun:

I think those involved are making nudity fun, and are not doing it out of any intention other than having fun. How is riding on a rodeo bull naked exhibitionism?

Such larks by 'mainstream' guys and girls only normalises social nudism, and removes the taboo in my opinion.

(alteration: "social nudism" should be "social nudity" - I don't think they represent a nudist lifestyle, but I do believe they show people conquering their fear of nudity in front of their peers)

What’s the master plan?
One day we’d like to see the whole world nude together on the same day, well maybe not the English, but pretty much everyone else. Just joking, we’d love to see the English naked too, that’d be funny, they glow in the nude.

The Sportscafe.Very naturist friendly.A couple of years ago they had the sports co-ordinator of our National Nudist federation live on T.V. completely nude.It is filmed in front of a live audience.
Just last year they had a high profile N.Z model assissting with hosting the program,and when asked if she would have a spa in the nude,she replied,of course,my family are naturists.

Which model was that? A few weeks ago even the audience had many nude members~ (in the lead up to nude day of course).

Marc Ellis apparently has been nude on the show no fewer than 8 times, although never while I have been watching. As dodgy as the man is, he is good value.

The weather here is warming up nicely (although with a few bad patches here and there). I have had the chance to do my study in the garden under the sun~

Still will need a little more warming to do before I hit the beaches though~

Well, it is generally a non-nudist programme so generally the audience is clothed, but on the occasion of the episode prior to Nude Day. One vocal group of the audience were indeed nude.

Mountain Goat that model was Nicky Watson.She was co-hosting in place of Lana Coc-kroft.

Jason, looking up the thread, you actually posted the web address of the sportscafe, so I am wondering why you searched for it, and needed to tell us about the search results.

Eva and Lana haven't been nude as far as I know, and it sounds as if Nicky wasn't nude although apparently is a nudist. The only hosts that I am aware of that have been nude on the show are Marc Ellis, a former rugby player, and just recently a guest co-host Mel who decided to throw her nude day t-shirt to the audience, when she had nothing on underneath.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news everyone....but did you read in one of the national newspapers today that Sports Cafe wont be shown next season!!! Its been cancelled!!

Yeah, I had heard that rumour just recently too, although hadn't been sure if it was any more than just a rumour. I hadn't spotted it in the papers yet but probably missed it.

If its true, it is sad news - and I would like to know why. Perhaps, Marc Ellis's recent troubles are still haunting him.

That same rumour goes around every year,and every year it comes back on,sometimes with a different sponsor.
Maybe this time the NZNF could do a deal with the producers and become sponsors of the program imagine that "The gonatural Sportscafe"
