It's winter in Canada
And the gentle breezes blow
Fifty miles an hour
At thirty-five below.
Oh, how I love Canada
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave Canada
I'm frozen to the ground!
Wow, great poetry, Boreas.
Well written.
Also, very appropriate.
December was well below normal here and looks like January will be the same.
Global warming is a myth!!!!

You guys should move to the Banana Belt .... which is what the Maritimes have been in comparison to the temps in the rest of the country!

I did not write that poem for the record. Someone sent it to me along with a cute picture. Perhaps I can find something appropriate to add.
Banana belt? I used to know what that was, living in southern Ontario. :surprised: We are not even close to that here right now at -30 with some kind of evil windchill!

For the record, although I wondered if that is -30F or -30C coincidentally those are about the same :-) We've been hoovering between -30C and 0C here, now around -5C time for a swim again hehe.

Yes, -5 is a heatwave, relatively speaking! We have been hovering between the minus teens and -30 or so. It has been a deep freeze for a few weeks now.
