Minnesota law requires all bathtubs have feet.

It is also illegal to sleep naked, tease a skunk or cross state lines with a duck on your head. They may sound absurd, but these are actual laws on the books in Minnesota. Well, mostly.

Strange laws like these are widely circulated around the Internet, said Michelle Timmons, state revisor of statutes, and each must be taken with a grain of salt. Especially the duck one

Well I have the right to herd sheep across Westminster Bridge (That's the one by the Palace of Westminster, you know, the Houses of Parliament, where they have that big tower with clocks on it called St Stephens Tower.), as does every British citizen, so don't any of you foreigners try bringing your sheep over here.

So there!

That right hasn't been rescinded just because some civil servant says so, just because there are no livestock markets doesn't mean we can't.

I'm getting my sheep ready for market right now!

By the way, I find the term 'Civil Servant' to be a misnomer, especially in this case. There is nothing civil or servile about the public employees I've ever had to deal with.

Pete, I believe you mean that it is an oxymoron: the juxtaposition of contradictory or incongruous words, e.g.: civil war, military intelligence, (good) old boy, critical acclaim, et c. :D

It's gonna take more than some silly OLD law to get me back in PJ's.
And my bathtub doesn't have Legs on it either.

I guess the only reason I've gotten away with it for so long is because the cops are too busy chasing people with ducks on their heads.

Gotta LOVE Minnesota!

No, I meant a misnomer, as both words are completely off the mark.

A misnomer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misnomer) is a term which suggests an interpretation that is known to be untrue. Such incorrect terms sometimes derived their names because of the form, action, or origin of the subject—becoming named popularly or widely referenced—long before their true natures were known.
