well, here i sit, broken hearted, meant to strip but cant get started!!!!
philippines seems to be rather conservative when it comes to clothes option....which is kinda funny because there are still provinces here where the locals walk around half naked. But in the more populated regions ones atire still reflects the degree of physical freedom one might enjoy. Being naked equates to being in a cell, as far as i can tell......HELP.....where can i go here to get with nature in a natural birthday suit way.....?.....:)
part 2
are there any other like minded persons in this part of the hemisphere?
Unlike other Pacific islands, the Philippines does not have skinny-dipping or topfree traditions. Added to that is a strong over-layer of imported conservative Catholicism and Islam. Not an auspicious mix for naturism.
The only naturist places I know of in the Philippines are China Sea Island resort (http://www.chinaseaisland.com) (only heard about, so don't know what its really like) and Malapacao Private Island (http://www.victorborg.com/html/nude_resort.html). The primary focus of Malapacao is holistic health detoxification (http://www.malapacao.com/detox/island-reality/what-to-expect) though, so be prepared to get a whole lot more than just naturism. :) Meantime, there seems to be a couple in Manila (http://www.nudist-resorts.org/talk/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4583) currently trying to start a naturist group.
When we lived in Manila many years ago, we had a relatively small house but with very high security walls all around, making it perfect for being au natural all the time. The challenge was finding the customary household staff (a cook/housekeeper and a driver/security-guard) who were ok with nudity. In interviews, we just kept asking "are you ok with us being naturist?" until we found a housekeeper who knew what we were talking about. She had worked for a Dutch family, and noted that they had always been very refined and proper, and that, as with them, she would always remain clothed. She then found a security person for us, and it all worked out very well. I hear from Filipino friends that there is a growing interest in naturism, especially among Filipinos who have lived abroad, but that there's still no hope anytime soon for anything even close to an official naturist beach in the Philippines.

While some tribes in the Philippines still go half naked, the mainstream Filipinos regard them as a lower social class. From what I've read, the few places where you can be nude are primarily for foreign tourists.
The Autumn 2008 issue of N magazine had an article on Filipinos and naturism. Through vignettes, the author discussed various incidents regarding Filipino attitudes towards Nudity. If you PM me, I can provide you with more information on the article.

Good to see there is growing interest in naturism in the Philippines.
Like in most Asian countries, public nudity is not allowed. The Philippines are such a huge country with so many small islands though, I guess you could have to find one that's nice and deserted.

Welcome to the forum. I have some friends in the Philippines I chat with and one has expressed some interest in naturism but also noted that there are no places to be nude in public.:( I think one would have to locate a small island or isolated beach to be able to get naked openly.:sneaky:;)

My wife is from the Philippines and even as recently as just before she came to live here, people were swimming in shorts and t-shirts, not wanting to be seen in swimsuits. When we went there for a vacation about 4 years ago, my sister-in-law and her daughter wore what would be pretty standard swimsuits here, but people were stopping just short of actually staring at them, especially my niece, who was in a two-piece.
I did catch a glimpse of the "half naked" folks on our way to Baguio, but my wife explained that their reason for staying partially nude was to attract tourists who would go see them out of curiosity and provide them with some income.
