Has anyone gotten in trouble for being nude? I always hear the "success" stories of neighbors not caring, etc. I'm just wondering if anyone's been ticketed or arrested or had to go to court over being nude (I know some of the court cases that have happened, wondering about people on here)

Yes, unfortunately....and from no more than just minding my own business.

The neighbor "lady"(gross misuse of the word), got a vindictive inclination from an acquaintance of hers to get nasty. So she called the police about what she "thought" I was doing behind my private, blocked off backyard. (I have a 7' high woodpile completely surrounding my back yard.) She kept calling the police time an time again, and they kept following up on it time and time again.

Unfortunately, the police believed her and the whole thing resulted in a jury trial. The reason was because my lawyer said that the judge would find me guilty (from her previous work as a prosecutor, but she had a reputation of giving light sentences). Nevertheless, I was completely unwilling to succumb to railroading.

As it turned out, the jury found me not guilty on all counts. I think the turning points were when the jury visited the premises as part of a jury viewing, and they saw a pair of binoculars that the neighbor had beside her window for spying which she hadn't removed before the viewing. Also she was exposed for committing perjury on the stand.

Justice prevailed, but not before wasting $8,000 in lawyer and court costs. She's still a Jezebel, but the police don't even listen to her anymore. It's terrible to have a neighbor like that. By the way, her husband divorced her shortly afterward.

My lawyer recommended against a countersuit, because he said, "She doesn't have money". But at least I can go unimpeded in my own backyard now without any more vigilante abuse.

Anyway; I go unshakled, textileless, body free, unimprisoned, airborne, one-button-suited, thread-bare, etc., etc., so maybe the freedom to be free is worth the costs sometimes.

Yes. I was turned in by a nosy woman who walks her dogs in the park, and lets them run free (signs are up that dogs must be on leash) and lets the dogs do their business where the kids play in the park. We have a row of mature spruce trees that run the length of our property line, and screen the park from our back yard. I have a 4 ft high closed in railing on our deck, that is on the second floor. She was gawking through the trees, and claims that she saw the top of my butt above the railing. I'm 6ft 2in tall.
I guess she hasnt' been to a construction site recently, where low riding jeans are the "fashion". So, the police came, they checked our deck and privacy walls and the row of trees. They concluded that we had done everything we needed to do. They went out in the park, and looked in through the trees, and decided that the only way she could have seen anything was by gawking through the trees. They told me that we were fine they way we had the deck done, and that nudity on our deck was fine. They went back and told the woman to mind her own business, and to keep her dogs on a leash and clean up after the dogs. She came back through a few days later. I was cutting the grass with my garen tractor in a speedo, no shirt, and bare feet. Again, she's gawking through the trees. I stopped the tractor, and just kept staring at her. She took off like a shot. Havent' seen her since. No charges were filed by the police. They said enjoy the deck.

Your lawyer stinks ... consult with others to see what you can do to recover all of your fees. Put a lien on her property and eventually you will get it back when she sells

Good advice!

Naked in Ohio..........Placing a lien on her property will ensure that she will have to pay off her debt before she can sell her house. Of course, this may be a last resort as she might not be inclined to sell her house for many years. There many be other options depending upon her financial situation and so the best advice is to seek additional competent legal advice that will ensure that you will recover your $8 K. You should not be stuck with this bill due to her vindictive nastiness and no competent lawyer should tell you to 'just forget it as she doesn't have the money'.

haven't gotten in trouble yet. notice i said yet. probobly due to the fact my wife and daughter know of my nudity and if they happen to walk in they are not shocked. my wife thinks nothing of me being nude on the computer if she walks into the room. i haven't put myself in daring situations either. just enjoy being nude where and when i can at the moment.

I contemplated seriously trying some freehiking today as I have it off of work. It's a Tuesday, figured no one would be out and started to leave. I ended up coming back home without free hiking as I'm afraid of getting caught. Last thing I need is to be put in the paper, or be registered a sex offender for life when I'm only 25. That's my biggest fear.

I was probably a bit too forward in not hiding my nudity when we moved here. The only people who could see me around the house on one side were some adult students next door. On the other side was a single adult lady. I could even mow my grass in the front yard without being seen by anyone other than the tenants next door but only from certain spots. I quickly discovered that the land along the creek was void of people, only some deer paths. So, I quickly widened the deer paths with a small tractor and started walking across mine and several neighbors' properties completely naked for maybe 4 years or so.

I liked it so much that I blurted out at a church gathering that my favorite thing was "naked gardening". That prompted the preacher to do some internet searching where he found my posts here and other sites where I told about what I was doing. The elders were about ready to throw me out (but allowing unwed deacon's daughters to bring their daughers to church without a word being said, among other things). So, I had to do something. I gave the preacher a note and told him that I was sorry but would follow the law from now on (no Biblical nor federal laws and questionable state laws on it; so my promise was an easy one) Another thing that happened is one of my very distant neighbors got up and complained about the nudist in the area (no one really sided with him). He was complaining because he was trying to sell his house and was afraid knowledge of this would hurt his sale value (it didn't; probably enhanced it).

Anyway, times changed some. With my promise, my wife makes me dress with SOMETHING (a towel tied to form 2 triangles is okay) in the front yard, and she hikes with me across neighbors' properties now. Two houses on those trails changed hands from all adult to ones with 3 girls each. The next door house was rented out to families with kids, too. Still think no one minds, and I'm following the law. I'm totally naked from the front edges of the house back (on 8 out of 8.5 acres, towel triangles mostly on the front yard and side towards the neighbor with kids).

I was enjoying some nude time at a beach by a local lake and was standing in a clearing in the brush. There was a couple not too far from me and she was laying out topless while he was fishing. Also was watching some of the waterboarders in the lake. I heard a sound and turned around and there was a game warden. He asked me to put something on and then asked what I was doing. I explained just enjoying the sun and watching the people on the lake. He asked if I had been fishing and I said no. Since I didn't have a fishing pole, there wasn't much chance of me fishing. He said I should keep something on and then left. I then watched him go down to the couple and he was checking for fishing licenses.

My neighbours have ignored the pleas from a woman being beaten by one or two men just as they ignored the house being attacked by over 30 men with rocks and concrete and such. However, when my 4 and 5 year olds venture outside naked, they ring the cops.
