Ditto for me too, thanks. I didn't know "Spock" was into nudes either. I wish he would beam me up to the planet he is on. lol
Seriously, it's great to know there are many other public figures, i.e., actors, actresses, musicians, etc., who are, in one way or another, associated with nudes, either by participating or photograpy. Very nice pics. http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Some of his are really good, as Jason Lee linked to.
Very interesting.
I love black & white photographs.
As I've said numerous times before, there is a lot to be said about black & white photography.
The great film maker Alfred Hitchcock utilized B&W filming when many of his peers were intoxicated with color.
B&W classics such as Psycho and The Birds would've been another lame horror film if made in living color.

Don't want to be too odd, but they look great like that. Good pictures.

I had first heard about Nimoy's dabbling into photography about a year ago. I thought maybe this was going to be some sort of excrusiating vanity project, but as it turns out he actually has a knack for photography.

Fascinating pictures. Thanks for making us aware of them.

Excellent, and yes, the more well known people are associated with nakedness, in nearly any form, the better.
Oh, and they're good pics. too ;-)

Nimoy's always been a story teller http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif There's great photography in both the Star Trek movies he directed. He has a wonderful sense of lighting IMHO.
He's said that he found his true calling when he found photography and that both acting and directing were now behind him.
On a another level, he's also shown a very healthy attitude to nudity. If you've never seen it, find a copy of The Good Mother, with Diane Keaton and Liam Neeson. It's very relevant to some issues that naturist families have (I don't want to spoil it)...

In these days of "size zero" models and the debates that surround them, it's good to see that Nimoy is employing these larger-than-average, (but probably not extreme by american standards), women to model for him.

I think a few of the photos, one for sure I recognize, are posed to emulate some famous works that feature more typical models. I think Leanord Nimoy is doing that on purpose.....but probably more as a juxtapositioned point of interest more than anything else.
From a healthcare standpoing...well.....that's America, land of plenty. This body habitus is one you'll commonly encounter at an American nudist resort. It is an encouraging reminder that one's comfort with one's own body is found in the MIND, and not the body.

Yes, i noticed that too. You're thinking of Helmut Newton (same models. same poses but one with and one without clothes) and those two photos were clearly a nod towards his work. Not sure about the others. I have a vague memory of hearing about Leonard Nimoy being into photography but didn't think much beyond 'that's nice' and I certainly didn't think it would be nude photography. Now all we need is for him to shout "I am a naturist."

Truly great photo's but no surprise considering his background, he did actually start in natural history films, so many years ago that he actually looked young then.
LOL

I first saw Nimoy & his new book on the Colbert Report (i believe), just recently. I hadn't seen many of the pics though. They're beautiful! I love them in b&w!
I especially love the one of the women dancing in a circle! It clearly (in my mind at least) is emulating "La Danse" by Henri Matisse - one of my favourite artists! :-)

It's been years since Star Trek. People are allowed to do something else with their lives. I'm glad he's been able to move on.
He has a wonderful sense of lighting
Looking at the other sets of photos on the site, the lighting is amazing. Powerful stuff.

His photos are really good ... and he shows that a woman doesn't have to be size zero to be beautiful.

would you pose naked/nude ?

it would all depend on the audience and what I would be doing by modeling. I dont think im up for anything even semi famous and I wouldnt pose in any way that would not be acceptable in a nudist club. I think that would be a good way of setting out my limits.

I recall that a long time ago (possibly the early 1980s) a British Phoyographic Magazine published some of his photos. I think it might have been in the Amateur Photographer.
