Having lived in the Dallas, Texas area all my life, I will have to say that being a nudist Dallas is not the place you want to be. The only nudist outdoor activities I get is in my back yard. Having watched most of the Nudes in the News programs there seems to be much better places to be a nudist. What is your best places to live and be a nudist?

I believe there may be more nudist venues in Florida than anywhere I know of.

The beaches include: Haulover Beach (Miami), Apollo Beach & Playalinda Beach (east coast), MacArthur Park (Singer Island), Hobe Sound, South Beach (topless only), part of the Gulf Islands.

Resorts include; Cypress Cove (Orlando), Caliente, Lake Como, & Paradise Lakes, Gulf Coast Resort, Hidden River in the Tampa area and Sunsport Gardens in Loxahatchee. I am sure there are more, but can't think of them at this time.

You don't need to look very far to be nude in this state!

I guess Tehran is the worst place for nudism?!

Eternity, I would have to say your right about that, Tehran would possibly be the worst place to be a nudist. and a woman.

Florida works for me. Plus I have an acre and half is fenced. I lived in Virginia with less property and used to get sun in the back of my pickup bed. Now that is desperate, wouldn't you say?

I live out west so I am biased here but California gets my vote there are tons of nude beaches and nude hotsprings as well as all the landed and non landed clubs and when you throw in other nude things like the Cahill policy for nude use on state lands, Burning Man which technically is in Nevada but began in California and things like the Bare to Breakers foot race across San Francisco I think they win.

Moving is not out of the question, I'm at a place in my life that this might be the option for me.

What is so bad about nudism in Texas? You have many nudist clubs operating in the state, you have some traditional nude beaches, one of which is even legally recognized as a designated nude beach (abeit for adults only - no families). You have favorable weather for outdoor activities much of the year. You still have wide open places and public lands out of the way. Sounds better than 90% of the rest of America.

OK, I get it that there is not much in the immediate neighborhood.

Sounds familiar.

There are 3 or 4 clubs within an hour of Dallas and a non-landed club in Dallas.

Check out these two sites -

http://www.aanr.com -- and click on the link that says "find a club near you". Click on Texas (on the map).

Also

http://naturistsociety.com -- "Naturist Network", look for clubs and groups in your region.

There's something near you. Pick up the phone, call one of the groups or clubs and make it a point to get out to one of their events.

There are three resorts an hour away from Ft Worth, Texas (Armadillo, Blue Bonnet, and Wildwood). The now closed Vista Grande, located outside of Weatherford, and just a few miles from The Armadillo Resort, may be for sale.

The cost of land is still relatively reasonable. The judicious use of landscaping can be helpful.

Bad places to be a nudist? Iran and Afghanistan.

:goofy:I wasn't thinking outside the box! I kept equating "Texas beach" with the Gulf of Mexico. The only place I've heard of where one can be nude along the coast is north of South Padre Island, probably not too far from Mansfield Pass. I was hoping there was another stretch somewhere...

You know, as long as this topic has been open nobody has come up with "bad" places to be a nudist (except Tehran, of course). Here's a few more:

honey bee colony
leper colony
burn ward
Pat Robertson's house
James Dobson's house
fifth grade classroom
7-11
Chicago ;)

Any other suggestions?

I wouldn't necessarily put 7-11 on the list of bad places. See this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0h6uOBZSm4).

When I moved out to Arizona last year I was surprised that there are only a couple resorts near the Phoenix area.... with it being so nice year-round I just assumed there would be more......
