Mu uncle is in the habit of sending me funny and unusual e-mails and i recently received one about a series of Canadian banknotes with nude women on them of the type you would find in Playboy. Either this is a hoax or erotica is becoming more acceptingly in Canada.

It's just another means in a long list of means of using the bodies of young and attractive women to promote, advertise, or sell somthing.

In such situations, nude male bodies can never be used for we all know that nude males are associated with homosexuality and the majority of society condemns homosexuality regardless of what they say.

Also, old women need not apply for who wants to look at old and flabby bodies? Old men? Forget it for we all know that men over a certain age are all considered 'dirty old men' by society.

Sorry for the rant but I still see the same old stereotypes being promoted time and time again. What ever happened to the women's equal rights movements of the '60's and '70's where so many women fought to end this kind of exploitation?

I have never noticed and I use those bank notes most every day.
What denomination and I will go check.
Wait, my wallet is empty. Again :(

Absolutely a hoax. You can inspect all the bank notes yourself if you wish.

Although generally very conservative (don't try to go nude unless you are on one of the deserted islands in the middle of Aitutaki lagoon), the Cook Islands are my pick for the most pro-nude currency.

Have a look:

The banknotes were planned by architect Emil Saarinen father of Eero Saarinen who both lived later in USA.

The 1-euro coin from Italy has Leonardo's (full-frontal!) Vitruvian Man.
